These terms are an agreement between you and Cloudline Software Ltd. (formerly ReviewTec Software Ltd.), an Alberta corporation. SoftwareExplained is a product of Cloudline Software Ltd. References to “we”, “us” and “our” in these terms mean Cloudline Software Ltd.
About the catalog
We publish explanations of business software using retained sources and a review process that may include AI-assisted research. A listing, source link, review label or company relationship is not a guarantee that every statement is complete, current or suitable for your needs. Missing information indicates a research gap, not proof that a feature is unavailable.
Research dates and qualifications matter. Software companies may change their products, offers and terms after our research. The catalog provides general information and does not replace your own evaluation, trial or professional advice where appropriate.
Your account
You must be at least 18 to create an account. Provide accurate account information, use an email address you control and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Contact us if you believe someone else has accessed it.
Verification of an email address does not establish employment, ownership of a company or authority to change a listing. Company access requests require a separate review.
When you create an account, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how account and submitted information is handled.
Suggestions, corrections and evidence
Submit information you have a right to share, identify sources and disclose relevant relationships. Do not submit confidential material, another person’s private information, misleading claims or content that infringes someone else’s rights.
You retain rights you already hold in your original submissions. You give SoftwareExplained permission to store, assess, edit and use that material to operate and improve the service, including publishing appropriate software information and retaining the associated research history. This permission does not transfer ownership of third-party material or remove any limits that apply to it.
We may ask for more information, decline a submission, identify a duplicate or research a proposed change. Acceptance for research does not guarantee publication. A review outcome may be reconsidered when new evidence is available. We do not promise a particular review or response time.
Our content and third-party software
SoftwareExplained’s original writing and site design are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Third-party product names, trademarks, screenshots and source material remain associated with their respective owners. A listing or link does not imply that a software company sponsors or endorses SoftwareExplained.
You can share links to our pages. Other uses of site content must respect the rights and permissions that apply to that material. Software purchases, subscriptions and external websites are governed by the relevant provider’s terms.
Sponsored listings
When purchasing is open, SoftwareExplained offers one clearly labeled sponsored software listing in one category for US$69 per month. Sponsorship is not exclusive and does not purchase an organic rank, change our research or guarantee impressions, clicks or sales. You must have an active verified company relationship for the listing.
A subscription renews monthly until future renewals are cancelled through your billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period shown in Billing. A placement can stop appearing if payment is not current, the listing is no longer public or your company relationship ends. Contact us with billing questions or if you believe a charge is incorrect. Real purchasing remains closed while the site is in sandbox mode; simulated payments are not real charges.
Responsible use
Do not impersonate another person or company, submit spam, attempt to access private records, interfere with the service, bypass access controls or use the site for unlawful purposes. We may restrict accounts or submissions to address misuse, protect the service or comply with legal requirements.
Availability and changes
We work to make the service useful and accurate, but pages, features and access may change or become temporarily unavailable. The service is provided without a promise of uninterrupted availability or suitability for a particular purchasing decision. Nothing in these terms removes rights or protections that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes affecting account use will receive appropriate notice.
