Workzone

What it does

Workzone is project management software for teams coordinating incoming work, task schedules, review cycles and reporting. A request can be captured, assigned into a project, tracked through dependent tasks, reviewed with approvers and surfaced in a dashboard. This profile uses current public vendor documentation; no Workzone account or real project was tested.

Who it is for

Marketing or operations teams handling many requests can use forms to gather a brief and attachments before turning it into project work. The current plan page lists intake forms from Team, and public intake forms from Enterprise, so confirm the required audience and form access in a quote.

A project manager coordinating schedules can assign tasks, set dependencies and view project dates in Gantt. Someone managing several departments can use status dashboards and workload reports to spot competing demands; capacity tools are listed from Team upward.

Pricing and getting started

The current pricing page offers a two-week trial with a complimentary walkthrough and no credit card. Its FAQ says plans are billed annually. Check the trial scope and the written quote before moving an active team.

Starter lists up to 25 users and 100 active projects, with dependencies and basic reporting. Team adds intake forms, proofing, dashboards and workload planning. Enterprise adds public intake, cross-project dependencies, advanced controls and additional collaboration allowances.

The pricing page displays conflicting dollar amounts in different sections, so this profile does not quote a number. It also advertises no add-on fees while an older help article calls some custom request-form features optional add-ons. Confirm current seat types, annual total, form features and any add-ons in a written quote.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

Project requests can include files and links. Pilot your actual brief, routing and permission flow, especially if requests come from outside the organization; the public forms appear in Enterprise.

Reviewers can respond to approval requests on files or links, while the workflow tracks comments and sends reminders. Check reviewer access, file formats and version history with a representative asset before shifting a regulated or client-facing approval process.

Workload reports calculate planned hours across projects and can be exported. Verify how your team records estimates, availability, leave and part-time capacity before using the numbers for staffing decisions.

Gantt dates and dependency behavior should be checked on a small linked schedule. Enterprise is required for dependencies across projects; do not assume a Starter or Team schedule can link work between separate projects.

No request, task assignment, approval, workload report, trial conversion or checkout was exercised for this listing. Validate your own workflow in the trial and confirm exact plan entitlements before purchasing.
