Find your fit
Who it is for
An independent provider can begin with one bookable calendar; a growing team should count each person who performs services and needs their own schedule. Vagaro also presents tools for businesses with multiple locations, but the configuration and price should be checked for each site.
This is the provider-facing business product. The client-facing marketplace and app are ways customers discover and book a business; the listing should not be read as a standalone consumer booking recommendation.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
Set availability by service, day or time before opening online booking. Clients can schedule appointments or classes, and Vagaro advertises booking from its own listing plus Instagram, Facebook and Apple Maps. Check the actual channels enabled for the chosen business and region.
The calendar can hold recurring appointments, processing gaps and personal-time blocks. It also permits double bookings when deliberately enabled, so a team should review that setting alongside service duration and provider availability.
Staff can add a booking directly from a calendar timeslot by choosing a customer, service and provider. A room, chair or other resource may also be attached where its availability needs managing. At least one service and provider must be configured first.
The calendar page describes automated appointment updates for bookings, changes and cancellations. Vagaro also presents real-time syncing between its business and personal calendars; test a sample schedule and reminder timing before relying on either in live operations.
The Vagaro Pro mobile app is presented as a way for staff to book clients, see reports and take payments from a phone. The underlying merchant account, device and fee requirements should be checked separately from app access.
A business may require a fixed or percentage deposit for online service or class bookings. This needs both Credit Card Processing and Online Shopping Cart, and Vagaro says deposits run through its own merchant services. Set and test the cancellation and refund policy before asking clients to prepay.

Pricing and getting started
The Canadian pricing page viewed in October 2026 shows $35 per month for one bookable calendar at one location. It also describes a 30-day trial. Treat that as a Canadian display, and confirm currency, tax, calendar count and current checkout terms for the business location.
A bookable calendar is tied to a person performing services. The captured Canadian page contains a US-denominated example for added calendars, so a buyer should ask for the actual local price as staff are added. Each additional location has its own feature-based cost, even though Vagaro says there is no extra multi-location fee.
The Canadian grid lists a free Vagaro Marketplace listing and a card reader offer conditional on Merchant Services signup. Neither line establishes the full cost of taking payments, promoting a listing or using optional business tools. Review the merchant agreement and selected extras separately.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
Before moving a real schedule, set up a fictional service and provider and verify online availability, an in-house appointment, recurring dates, resource use and notifications. This exposes settings that matter in a busy salon or class schedule without involving a customer.
If deposits matter, confirm that Merchant Services and Online Shopping Cart are available in the business region, price the processing arrangement, and read how a cancellation triggers a refund. A booking subscription alone does not prove deposit collection is active.
For migration or exit planning, the business owner can export a customer list to Excel or PDF. Test a filtered and full export early: an employee-filtered list omits some purchase-only customers, so it is not a complete backup by itself.
