tududi

What it does

tududi is a task manager for capturing work, organizing projects and notes, and deciding what belongs in view today. It is available as a self-hosted open-source application or as a managed Cloud subscription.

A typical path starts with a loose task in the Inbox, groups related work into a project and broader area, then uses dates, status, priority or a saved view to find the next action. Sharing, recurrence and optional AI connections extend that core workflow.

Who it is for

An individual who wants one place for home and work tasks can capture quickly, keep reference notes beside project work and use Today or custom views to focus. Projects are optional, so an initial task need not be filed immediately.

A small group can share a project with read-only observers or read-write collaborators. Because access covers tasks and notes inside the project, check the contents with fictional records before inviting a teammate.

A self-hosting team can run the MIT-licensed application on its own server; a team that wants hosted updates, backup operations and email support can compare Cloud. Consider who will maintain and restore the instance, not just subscription cost.

The work it supports

Core capabilities

Capture a task from the main list, Today, Inbox or quick-capture modal. The documented Telegram and API paths can extend intake after those connections are configured.

Group related tasks and notes inside projects and nest projects under areas. Keep unassigned items outside projects until they have a clear home; deleting a project does not automatically delete its child tasks and notes.

Give a task an optional due date and priority, then use its status to separate planned, active, waiting and completed work. Search and saved views help find items across projects.

Set a task to recur on a due-date or completion-based schedule. tududi reuses that task after completion, so test a harmless weekly example to confirm when the next due date lands.

Share a project as read-only or read-write. The recipient’s access covers its tasks and notes; only the project owner can pass on access or revoke it.

If enabled, the in-app backup page exports an account-level file and can merge records from an earlier export. This differs from infrastructure-level database backup and does not replace the account wholesale.

The optional AI Assistant produces daily, task and project summaries using a configured model provider. Its documentation says relevant task and project context goes to that provider, so choose a local endpoint or approved external provider deliberately.

The optional MCP endpoint exposes authenticated task and project actions to compatible AI clients. It requires an enabled feature flag and per-user token; review token custody because a connected client can write data.

Pricing and getting started

Self-hosting uses the MIT-licensed application and the published Docker quick-start, with your organization responsible for its server, updates and full database recovery. The official Cloud page says it runs the same application while handling hosted operations and email support.

The current Cloud page displays €5 per month or €50 per year as an early-bird annual amount, excluding applicable taxes. It describes a seven-day no-card trial with a smaller AI allowance, one additional member and public note links after subscription; added members are billed as seats at the same displayed price. Check current checkout terms before committing.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

Build a fictional project, add tasks and notes, then share it with a second account to confirm both permission levels and what inherits into the shared project.

Try a recurring task with a delayed completion to choose between due-date and completion-based scheduling. Check Today and saved views for the status and priority combinations your team uses.

If self-hosting, compare an account export with an infrastructure backup and run a harmless restore test. In-app restore merges by internal identity and depends on a feature flag, so it is not a substitute for full disaster recovery.

Treat AI and MCP as optional integrations. Before enabling them, check the configured model destination, possible separate API costs, the MCP feature flag and token permissions.

Compare the current Cloud subscription and added seats with the time and infrastructure needed to self-host. Confirm trial limits, tax, support and backup responsibilities using current terms.
