Tidio

What it does

Tidio combines a customer help desk, shared inbox and website live chat. Conversations can be handled in the inbox or turned into tickets when follow-up needs more structure. Its new Help Center adds customer-facing articles; AI and automation are adjacent parts of the wider suite.

Who it is for

Tidio markets its Help Desk to ecommerce stores and service providers. It suits teams that want to collect customer messages from a website and other channels in one place, then route a longer request to a ticket owner.

A team can connect an email mailbox so incoming mail creates tickets. Tidio also documents a website chat widget; Shopify and WordPress plugins are two setup routes, with a script option for other sites.

Pricing and getting started

The current pricing page shows a Free plan with 50 billable conversations per month, followed by Starter, Growth, Plus and Premium options. A billable conversation includes a human agent reply in chat, ticket, email or a social channel; model the expected human volume before choosing a tier.

Tidio advertises a seven-day trial of paid features without a credit card. Its September Help Center announcement said use was free until October 15, 2026; confirm its current price and plan access after that promotion rather than assuming permanent free use.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

Intake and handoff. Tidio documents email arriving as tickets, conversation-to-ticket conversion, priority handling and automated routing. Try a representative long request and check ownership, status and reply flow in the chosen plan.

Channel scope. The broad shared-inbox page mentions WhatsApp, while its FAQ currently lists email, live chat, Instagram and Messenger as connectable channels. Confirm the exact channel set and any setup or plan limits before designing a support promise.

Self-service. The Help Center announcement describes a branded, multilingual article area on a Tidio or custom domain, with website embedding. Assign an editor and check pricing after the limited free-use period before committing to this workflow.

Conversation billing. The paid tiers scale with handled customer conversations, so a busy inbox can change the total even when the number of agents stays steady. The vendor’s billable definition counts conversations with a human-agent message.

Setup and research limits. This profile uses current official public pages. No Tidio account, channel connection, ticket, chat exchange, Help Center publication, trial signup or checkout was tested.
