Find your fit
Who it is for
The current Teamgate site addresses sales-led and recurring-revenue teams. Starter is a narrow, free entry point for two new-customer users, one pipeline and 500 contacts. A team that needs a separate lead queue, email automation or more pipelines should compare Team and Growth before importing a full contact list.
Map the existing sales stages and decide what counts as an unqualified lead, a contact and an active deal. Assign who can import, edit, export and close records; then try a small fictional pipeline. That makes the plan limits and data model visible before customer data is migrated.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
On tiers with lead management, sellers can keep early prospects in a lead list and import CSV, XLSX or vCard files. Qualification can turn a lead into a linked contact, company and deal while carrying over communication history and attributes. Trial one small sample import and inspect duplicates and field mapping before moving a real database.
People and Companies are related but separate contact sections. A contact card can hold notes, emails, calls, tasks, upcoming events and history, while list filters help find records by status, owner, country or tag. Agree on company naming and ownership rules so the same customer is not entered twice.
Deals appear by pipeline stage and can be dragged forward or closed as won or lost. A list view includes won and lost records for sorting and review. Set stage definitions and a required next step before copying a team's current spreadsheet into the board.
The Organizer supports follow-up tasks, calls, meetings and reminders, including activities linked to a company, person or deal. Try one overdue follow-up and one rescheduled meeting to see whether the resulting record is clear to a second team member.
Team and Growth offer email integration, templates, bulk email and workflow automation. Teamgate's Gmail setup also asks at first connection how much historical mail to sync, and says that selection cannot later be changed. Confirm the chosen plan, mailbox permissions and the amount of history before connecting an actual inbox.
Deals and contact lists can be exported as CSV when the user has permission. The People/Companies export specifically excludes communication history, notes, activities, email and meetings. A migration or backup plan should test separate exports for those linked records rather than assume one contact CSV contains everything.

Pricing and getting started
For new customers, Starter is free for up to two users, one pipeline and 500 contacts. Team adds lead management, three pipelines, email and automation; Growth adds more pipeline capacity, advanced analysis, lead scoring and API/multicurrency rights. Choose the tier based on required workflow, not only seat count.
The viewed Teamgate USD sales-team page lists Team at US$39.90 per user per month with annual billing or US$49.90 billed monthly; Growth is US$59.90 annually or US$74.90 monthly. The main pricing page also has USD/EUR and billing-term selectors. Recheck your country, selected term, taxes and any onboarding charge before budgeting.
Paid plans advertise a 14-day trial without a credit card. If calling or SMS matters, Teamgate describes SmartDialer through the buyer's own Twilio account on Team/Growth; confirm that separate provider's charges and setup rather than treating calling as a bundled phone service.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
For a practical pilot, add a fictional lead, convert it into a company/contact and deal, move the deal through a few agreed stages, and assign a next activity. Review what remains attached after conversion and whether permissions prevent an unintended export or closure.
If leaving another CRM, first test an import of a small sanitized file and compare the resulting contact and deal records. Then export that sample and inspect what is missing: Teamgate says a contact CSV omits communication history and activities. Decide how mail history will be handled before enabling synchronization or bulk email.
