Find your fit
Who it is for
A seller of downloadable files can create a digital product with a download link and a tailored checkout, then verify that access is granted after payment and removed correctly when an order is cancelled.
A physical-goods merchant can enter product weight and shipping settings, track payment and fulfillment states separately, and configure tax regions and product tax treatment before accepting live orders.
A membership or recurring-product business can offer a subscription and inspect its status, renewal date, pause and cancellation controls. It should test the customer experience and connected processor before migrating existing subscribers.

Core capabilities
Install the plugin on a self-hosted or cloud-hosted WordPress site and complete its setup wizard. The store must be claimed by connecting a SureCart account; the guide warns an unclaimed store may be deleted. Make this connection part of the launch checklist.
Create physical, digital, subscription or donation products with prices. Digital listings can attach download links, while physical listings can use weight and a shipping profile. A mixed catalog needs sample products of each type to confirm the customer path.
Build the shop and product pages, then edit cart and checkout with SureCart blocks in the WordPress Block Editor. The checkout collects customer details, payment and order confirmation; test the selected layout with the site theme and mobile view.
Connect a supported payment processor. The current overview names Stripe, PayPal, Mollie, Razorpay and Paystack; the methods actually shown depend on the processor account, currency and customer location. Test the checkout in the merchant’s target market.
Use Test Mode to walk through an Instant Checkout before live payments are turned on. The guide says this mode does not charge a card or create a live order, making it suitable for finding setup mistakes before a real sale.
In orders, distinguish paid status from fulfillment and the overall order state; those signals can change at different times. The order view also exposes refund and cancellation actions, and cancellation can remove access to related downloads or subscriptions.
For subscription products, the admin can inspect status and manage renewal dates, pauses and cancellations. A merchant should document who may make those changes and what notice customers receive.
Tax settings allow collection, regions and product-level treatment. Confirm the store’s legal tax obligations and test representative destinations; a configured toggle alone is not evidence that every rate is correct.
A migration has a defined order: set up the store and processors, import customers and products, then purchases and subscriptions, and sync WordPress users where needed. Existing subscription payment details are a special risk: the guide supports saved-method transfer from Stripe only.

Pricing and getting started
The Launch selection shows $0 upfront with a 2.9% SureCart transaction fee. The payment processor’s own charges still apply, so compare the combined cost at the store’s expected order volume.
For one store, the pricing page displays Pro at $199 per year or a $699 one-time lifetime option, with no SureCart transaction fee. Five-store and unlimited-store selections have different prices; confirm the exact selection and introductory versus renewal amount.
The pricing page states USD pricing and says the account can change plans or cancel. It describes the same current feature set across Launch and Pro, with the main commercial differences in store count and transaction fee approach. Check any operational caps in the actual account before committing.

Before you choose
A WordPress installation and a claimed SureCart account are both required. Check who owns the site, SureCart account, processor and administrative access, and how a disconnected account would be recovered.
Run a safe checkout test for each important product type, then verify order, payment, fulfillment, access and tax outcomes. Keep Test Mode separate from a live processor connection, and use a real transaction only when the merchant chooses to do so.
When moving an established store, map customer and product IDs before purchases and subscriptions, stage the imports, and plan a subscriber notice if payment details cannot transfer. SureCart says hands-on data preparation is the owner’s or developer’s task.
Price the selected number of stores and expected order volume, including the Launch fee or Pro term plus separate processor charges. Confirm supported processors, currency and country for the actual business before relying on a promotional page.
