Who it is for
Individuals building a personal knowledge base can group cards by topic, place a card under more than one parent and use links to connect related ideas. The free Starter plan offers a way to test this structure with a limited kept-card allowance.
Small groups can share selected cards or a parent hierarchy and edit together in real time. Readers of sensitive material should check child-card privacy and invitation roles before sharing a whole collection.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
Create a concise Markdown-style notecard with rich elements such as images, a table or a checklist. Nest cards in parents, including more than one parent where a subject belongs in two places. Filters, search and sorting help retrieve the growing collection.
Add bi-directional links between related cards and follow backlinks to see what references a card. This supplements the parent hierarchy when one idea connects to several topics.
Share one card or a parent hierarchy by link or direct invitation. Collaborators can edit in real time, while roles and per-child shared/private settings govern access. Review those settings with a small sample before publishing a large hierarchy.
Work offline to read, browse, search and edit notes, then check the pending updates when connected again. Try the intended devices before relying on an offline session for travel or field work.
Export the current cards to PDF, Markdown, a ZIP of individual Markdown files or JSON. Markdown can omit card metadata such as parent and tags, so test JSON and a sample restore route if preserving relationships matters.
Import Markdown or content from selected note tools, including Google Keep, Notion, Roam Research and Obsidian. The vendor advises small batches and does not officially support tables, images or attachments in import; very long files may fail. Plan to rework a sample into cards first.
Unlimited offers opt-in AI Card Vision and Collection Creator. These tools can suggest card edits or collections, but enabling AI sends necessary card and tag data to a model provider; review content sensitivity before consenting.

Pricing and getting started
Starter is free and starts with 100 notecards. Achievements and referrals can expand its allowance, and only cards you have kept count. Once the limit is reached, you can still view and edit kept cards but cannot create, like or join new ones until you gain space or upgrade.
Unlimited removes the card limit and adds AI tools, fuller API/integration rights and priority support. The October 20, 2026 annual pricing view showed £6 per month equivalent with £72 billed annually. That is a British-pound annual payment display, not the month-to-month price.
The vendor says direct Stripe transactions charge in British pounds, while conversions and app-store pricing can differ. Students may qualify for yearly or four-year discounts. Confirm currency, plan term and taxes in the actual checkout rather than assuming the viewed amount applies everywhere.
Unlimited can be canceled and remains active through the billing cycle. The vendor advertises a 14-day money-back guarantee when requested within 14 days of purchase; review its full policy and the billing channel before buying.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
Build a small genuine topic with parent cards, links and one shared child. Verify that collaborators see only the intended cards and that the short-card format helps rather than fragments the subject.
Before importing an archive, try about 50 representative notes and inspect tables, images and attachments. Export a sample as Markdown and JSON to compare how hierarchy and metadata survive.
Estimate how many cards you will keep under Starter, then compare that allowance with Unlimited’s rights and the annual GBP checkout. If AI matters, verify consent and what content is shared with its provider.
