Find your fit
Who it is for
It fits a sales or relationship team that already conducts much of its work in Gmail and wants the pipeline visible there. Teams using another mail platform should check that Gmail dependence before comparing Streak with a standalone CRM.
Initial setup requires a desktop browser with the Streak extension; mobile app access to pipelines follows completed desktop onboarding. Plan a short desktop pilot before promising a phone-first rollout.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
Build a pipeline around the team’s actual sales stages. Each box can represent a lead or deal, store its emails, notes, files and tasks, and move through stages while columns record details such as value or close date.
Use contact and organization records to see who belongs to each opportunity. Streak can suggest people from an email thread and create a contact, box and sharing rule as part of that inbox workflow.
Some fields can fill from email activity, such as the last-email date or number of sent messages. Check those automatic fields against a sample account before treating them as complete sales history.
Automatic sharing can add email threads for a contact or organization to a particular box. Teammates may see the existence and to/from/date details of an unshared message without its contents, then request access. Review that visibility with the team before enabling broad sharing.
A specific thread can be marked Never share in Streak, which takes priority over other sharing settings. Turning off sharing for a contact or organization is box-specific; teams can also disable team email sharing, but then adding emails to pipelines is affected.
Assign pipeline roles for view or edit access. The built-in roles are available on Pro and Pro+, while custom permissions are Enterprise-level. Pipelines are shared with the team by default, so set Team Access and review existing members before loading sensitive deals.
For migration, import a small sample from Google Sheets, CSV or Excel. The importer can update same-name boxes and create missing stages, tags or dropdowns by default, while automatic sharing is on for contacts by default; inspect those settings before a large import.

Pricing and getting started
The free plan supplies Gmail email tools but no CRM pipelines. A team evaluating Streak as a CRM should budget for a paid plan or use the 14-day Pro+ trial to test its workflow without treating the trial as a permanent free CRM tier.
Current annual-billing display is $49 Pro, $69 Pro+ and $129 Enterprise per user per month; monthly billing displays $59, $89 and $159. The vendor says prices are USD and non-US cards are charged in USD. Confirm seat count and selected billing period before purchase.
Pro includes core CRM and shared pipelines. Pro+ adds automation, integrations and advanced reports; Enterprise adds custom roles and data validation. A trial or plan label alone does not guarantee every feature in the desired workflow, so test the required tier.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
Run a sample lead from the first stage to a closed stage, attach a contact, send an ordinary test email within your own team and check which messages and metadata become visible. This surfaces the real effect of automatic sharing and Never share controls.
Before inviting a full sales team, inspect pipeline defaults and role assignments. New team members may gain access under the default sharing rule, and changing the default does not revoke access already granted.
If moving from another CRM, import a few representative records first. Check that fields map correctly, same-name boxes are not unexpectedly updated, and no new stages or contact-sharing rules are created without review.
Confirm each teammate can complete desktop onboarding and the selected plan supports the automation, report and permission scope needed. Mobile access and the free email-tools tier should not be mistaken for full mobile-first CRM setup or free CRM pipelines.
