Find your fit
Who it is for
It suits a social media manager or team that publishes repeatedly across several profiles and needs a shared planning view. Essentials targets a smaller publishing workflow, while Standard adds a consolidated inbox; teams with heavier review or care work should compare higher tiers.
A brand answering public comments can bring supported network conversations into the Smart Inbox. Network behavior varies, so test the actual accounts and message types before replacing a native moderation workflow.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
Social publishing. Schedule posts directly from the content calendar and move them when the plan changes. The cited vendor walkthrough shows this workflow, but a connected network can still impose its own publishing limits.
Comment management. Use the Smart Inbox to reply to supported comments; the vendor documents replies to comments on connected TikTok videos. Check which comment and reply types work for each channel you manage.
Social analytics. Track engagement, impressions, follower growth and top posts in network reports. Use the figures to compare activity, not to assume a post caused a sale.

Pricing and getting started
The current plan lineup includes Essentials, Standard, Professional, Advanced and a custom Enterprise option. The vendor's June 2026 guide listed starting annual-billing seat amounts of $79, $199, $299 and $399 per month for the first four tiers respectively; the captured page does not label the dollar currency. Check the current checkout for your region, billing term and seat count.
The current pricing page advertises a 30-day trial without a credit card. The published plan comparison places five profiles and profile/post reporting in Essentials, a consolidated inbox in Standard, and unlimited profiles plus message tagging in Professional. Check the trial and paid account screens for the exact features before committing.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
A content calendar can be shared and filtered, but publishing permissions and approval rules need a deliberate setup. Message Approval Workflows are documented for Professional and Advanced, with administrator permission needed to create them.
The plan distinction matters for customer care: the Essentials description centers on publishing, whereas Standard lists a consolidated inbox. If responding to comments is central, test the selected tier and each connected channel.
Social network APIs can limit what appears or what can be answered from a third-party inbox. The vendor documents TikTok comment replies, but that example should not be read as support for every message type on every network.
The pricing page uses per-seat terms and shows annual billing for the displayed plan prices. Budget for the actual number of users and compare the current regional checkout rather than treating the research snapshot as a quote.
SoftwareExplained has not operated a Sprout account, published a post, answered a comment, exported a report or checked a regional checkout. A useful trial would connect the real profiles, run one scheduled post, answer one supported comment and compare the report with native network data.
