Create a document from content blocks and reorganize passages without reducing everything to one indivisible page. A buyer can test a fictional long note, then focus on one block and use breadcrumbs to return to the wider context.

Reference a block from another note and use backlinks and the relationship graph to find where the idea is reused. Check a small example with two sources so the link behavior is understandable before importing a larger archive.

Fold list or title sections to manage long outlines while retaining the underlying content. A sample meeting or reading note can show whether the outline and block editor stay usable at the depth you need.

Turn material into spaced-repetition flashcards. SiYuan says its review scheduling uses FSRS; try a few fictional cards to assess editing and recall workflow without assuming a measured learning outcome.

Database views can connect records through relations and use rollups and templates. This may help with a reading list or project index, but check the exact fields and maintenance effort with a small sample before relying on a complex schema.

The optional AI connection is described for writing, translation and summaries. Treat it as an integration to evaluate separately: confirm model account, data sent to it, available controls, cost and actual plan rights before using sensitive notes.

SiYuan stores documents and assets in a local workspace and says ordinary note work remains possible offline. Identify the workspace folder and verify your own recoverable copy before changing devices or enabling any sync route.

Current downloads cover desktop and mobile systems, and a Docker image is listed for server operators. Select a supported build for each device and check the operational duties and feature differences before treating server use as equivalent to the desktop app.
