Find your fit
Who it is for
It fits teams that regularly need outside parties to approve or sign routine agreements without printing, scanning and chasing email attachments. Pilot one representative document and signer sequence before putting sensitive or high-volume work into the system.
A sole sender can start with the limited Free plan, while recurring team templates, branding, bulk sends and API integration call for closer plan review. Choose the plan from the actual volume and workflow, not just the headline unlimited-documents label.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
The sender can upload PDF, Word or Excel material and place text, date, checkmark and signature fields. Make one test request with all required fields, then inspect the finished PDF for alignment and missing entries.
A request can ask a person to sign, approve, or simply receive notice. The signer can draw, upload or type a signature on a supported device. Confirm that the selected action matches the document and organization’s approval policy.
Signing order can hold a later signer’s request until an earlier signer finishes. Test a two-person sequence, including a declined or delayed first signer, before using it for a time-sensitive agreement.
Senders and signers can add attachments, and a sender can require an attachment from a signer. Test the size, format and retention of a harmless sample file before requesting identity or other sensitive material.
My Documents shows which requests still need action. The sender can send manual or automatic reminders; once all signers finish, SignRequest sends the completed document and signing log to the parties. Compare notification recipients and reminder cadence with the team’s process.
Templates can preserve recurring document settings such as signing order, notifications and a default message. Team accounts can share documents and templates while tracking who acted. Decide who may edit a template before making it available to more senders.
SignRequest says the signing log records signer IP addresses, email addresses, verifications and timestamps, and that later changes break the completed PDF’s seal. Keep a sample completed document and log to check what evidence the business actually receives.
Multi-document requests keep several files in one signing flow and complete only after all are signed. Bulk send is a different workflow: it sends separate copies of one document to many people. Choose the right path and check the extra bulk credit cost.

Pricing and getting started
The current comparison lists Free at 10 documents per user per month. Professional is displayed at €9 per month for one user and Business at €15 per month for one user, each with a 14-day trial. Confirm country, tax and checkout term before treating these public figures as the final price.
Professional lists one team and five templates alongside branding. Business lists unlimited teams and templates, with bulk and API options that may carry extra charges. Match required senders, teams, templates and integrations to the quoted plan.
The paid plans display unlimited documents, but the vendor applies a fair-use rule and says unusually high-volume sending requires a separately sold document bundle. An API workflow requires Business plus document credits; ask for a written volume estimate if the team sends in bulk.
The pricing FAQ says monthly subscriptions can be canceled immediately, whereas annual subscriptions have a one-year minimum and renew automatically until canceled. Record the actual billing interval and renewal date before purchase.

Before you choose
A practical test is a blank but realistic agreement with two signers: place fields, set their order, send it to test addresses, delay one signer, complete the second, then inspect the final PDF, signing log and notifications. The captured pages describe these paths; this research did not operate a SignRequest account.
For regulated or high-value agreements, have the organization’s legal and records staff review its required signature level, identity checks, retention, access and evidence. The public feature descriptions do not establish suitability for every jurisdiction or document type.
