Find your fit
Who it is for
It suits a business that regularly sends agreements, forms or approvals to people outside its team and needs to see whether each packet was received, opened and signed. A small sender can start with individual envelopes; teams with repeated documents can save templates and choose a signing order for several parties.
The buyer should count envelopes rather than staff seats first: the current plan table lists unlimited users and templates, while allowance and workflow features vary by tier. Signable is an Electronic Signature listing; its document tracking helps manage the signing process but does not replace a review of the document language or the signer-verification process required for a particular use.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
A sender uploads a document or selects a template, adds each signer and specifies where they should sign. Before sending a real agreement, use a fictional sample to check field placement, required inputs and the document version the recipient will see.
An envelope can contain more than one document. That is useful when several forms belong to the same signing request, but buyers should check whether every recipient should receive the entire packet and how many envelopes the workflow consumes.
A recipient gets an email with a unique signing link and can open the document without creating a Signable account. The sender receives a completion notification and can view or download the signed copy. Check the recipient experience on a phone and confirm where the finished record will be stored.
For repeat agreements, a document can be saved as a template instead of rebuilding it for every send. Have someone review the text and fields when terms change; reusing a template only helps if the underlying document is current.
A sender can choose whether several parties receive the document together or in a set sequence. Test the order with fictional recipients when a signature must follow an internal approval or another signer, and check who is notified at each step.
Document tracking records received, opened and signed events in an audit trail. This helps a team find requests that are still waiting. Review what the record shows for the particular document and do not assume the trail alone establishes that the intended person signed it.

Pricing and getting started
The current Pay As You Go plan starts at £2.60 per envelope and points buyers to envelope bundles. The terms describe paying upfront for a purchased bundle. This may suit occasional sending; compare the actual bundle size and expiry rules with a realistic year of requests.
Essentials displays £40 plus VAT per month billed annually with 300 included envelopes. The current table lists unlimited users and templates across the plans. Confirm the period covered by the 300-envelope allowance, the upfront annual total and any local tax before treating the monthly display as the amount charged each month.
Business starts at £100 plus VAT per month billed annually and from 1,200 included envelopes; the card lists API access, teams and bulk send. Enterprise starts at £250 plus VAT per month billed annually and from 5,000 envelopes with additional controls and support. These are starting figures, so request a quote for the specific volume, users, setup and required features.
The pricing page says an annual envelope allowance is available at the start of the plan. Business and Enterprise can buy extra bundles, and an overage fee can apply when allowance is exceeded. The terms also say unused paid-plan envelopes do not roll into the next billing period. Check expected seasonal volume and overage rates before committing.

Before you choose
Run a fictional signing packet with two recipients: place fields, choose all-at-once and ordered signing in separate tries, open the email link on a phone, then inspect the status trail and final copy. This reveals practical handoff and document-storage needs without sending a real customer agreement.
Before choosing a tier, list the number of envelopes, documents per envelope, templates, signing sequences and any API or team controls needed. Ask Signable to confirm the selected plan’s current entitlement, quote, VAT, annual charge, bundle or overage fees and record-retention needs. For important agreements, have the appropriate owner review signer identity and legal requirements separately.
