ShipHero

What it does

ShipHero is warehouse-management software for ecommerce brands and 3PL operators running their own fulfillment sites. It connects inventory locations with store orders, mobile picking, packing and shipping. Its former ShipHero Fulfillment service was spun off into LVK, so this listing describes the WMS software that warehouse teams operate.

Who it is for

An online retailer shipping from its own warehouse can link store orders to stock locations and guide pickers through the floor. A useful demo should follow one order from channel import through picking, packing, label creation and stock adjustment.

A 3PL with more than one client or warehouse can evaluate location rules, transfers and integrations with each customer's storefront or carrier. Ask to see separate inventory and order views for representative clients; the public pages do not establish every permission or billing arrangement.

A warehouse improving count accuracy can start with a sample cycle count and reorder threshold. The system describes variance review, targeted recounts, replenishment alerts and purchase orders, but the team still needs sound SKU and location setup.

The work it supports

Core capabilities

Inventory locations. ShipHero distinguishes sellable and non-sellable stock and describes allocation across warehouses. Set up a few real bin types, then check how a transfer or unavailable item changes the quantity a picker can use.

Cycle counts. The dashboard supports variance review and targeted recounts rather than a disruptive full shutdown. Test who can submit, approve and correct a count, and how the correction reaches connected sales channels.

Replenishment. Configurable reorder levels can drive alerts or automatic reorders and purchase orders. Simulate a low-stock SKU through receipt and putaway before enabling automatic purchasing for live stock.

Order flow. The WMS describes connecting stores, then picking, packing, shipping and reviewing progress. Use a small order with a missing item or changed quantity to see how exceptions are handled before training the whole warehouse.

Mobile floor work. ShipHero lists an iOS WMS app for picking, receiving and inventory management with handheld devices or Bluetooth scanners. Check device compatibility, scanning behavior, wireless coverage and offline expectations using the site's actual equipment.

Packing and printing. The vendor lists a Windows/Mac packing app and a workstation print server. Confirm which software, printers and label formats are needed; Tap-to-Pack and Pack-to-Light hardware are premium add-ons.

Picking configuration. The official setup guide requires pickable locations and assigned inventory before orders can enter batches. Map bins and choose a picking method before judging route speed from a demo with preconfigured sample data.

Connected systems. The vendor describes carts, marketplaces, carriers, ERPs, public API and webhooks. Verify each required connector's data direction and error recovery with actual sample orders, because the integration list does not establish a complete workflow for every system.

Returns. Order and returns management are part of the WMS description. Walk through one return to see inspection, restocking, refund handoff and availability updates rather than assuming a returned parcel is immediately sellable.

Understand the offer

Pricing and getting started

ShipHero's current sales page uses custom pricing tied to order volume and asks buyers to request a quote. No dependable fixed subscription price appears in the captured pages; ask for software, warehouse/client, user, order and support charges in one written proposal.

The vendor offers a tailored migration plan and dedicated implementation team. Ask for the migration objects, historical range, validation steps, training, go-live responsibilities and any separate service fee before committing a date.

Pack-to-Light and Tap-to-Pack are presented as premium hardware add-ons. Keep their equipment, installation, maintenance and software entitlements separate from the base WMS quote; AI Picking is also a separately described feature whose availability and price need confirmation.

The sales page says deployments can vary from two to twelve weeks according to complexity, package and partner responsiveness. Treat that as a planning range and agree on a realistic milestone schedule for the actual operation.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

For a practical evaluation, connect one test store, receive a small SKU set into pickable and non-pickable bins, cycle count a variance, then pick, pack, ship and return an order. Compare inventory and channel totals at each step with harmless sample data.

A software subscription does not mean ShipHero itself will store or ship goods for the buyer. The company's current About page says that former fulfillment business became LVK; contract for any third-party fulfillment service separately.

This profile uses current public ShipHero pages and help content. No WMS account, connected store, scanner, printer, carrier label, inventory movement, order, quote, migration or premium add-on was operated.
