QuoteWerks

What it does

QuoteWerks helps sales teams assemble product or service quotes, review pricing internally and deliver proposals to customers. The current QuoteWerks Web offer provides a browser-based path through those steps; buyers should distinguish its Web subscription from separately priced Desktop licensing.

Who it is for

A team selling configurable products or mixed products and services can keep catalog items and pricing rules together, use bundles or optional items, and create repeatable proposals.

A sales manager concerned about discount or margin control can review a quote before it goes out, using peer review and approval rules. Customer-facing online acceptance and payment are tied to higher Web tiers.

Teams with many potential users but fewer simultaneous quote creators should model concurrent licenses. Existing Desktop customers should ask whether they need a new Web subscription or Web access added to their present installation.

The work it supports

Core capabilities

Browser quoting. QuoteWerks Web lets sales staff build quotes in a browser while connecting catalog, pricing and customer information in one process.

Item configuration. Essential lists bundles, a configurator and optional, required or substitute items for quotes involving more than a flat item list.

Internal review. Peer reviewers and approval rules can examine pricing or discounts before a quote is delivered to a customer.

Proposal delivery. Web quoting can send a proposal for customer review. Balanced and Pinnacle include QuoteValet for online delivery and acceptance, including electronic signature and payment collection features.

Quote to order. The vendor describes moving accepted quotes into purchasing and order management, though the exact integration or handoff should be checked for the buyer’s workflow.

Pricing and getting started

The current Web monthly display lists Essential at $50, Balanced at $78 and Pinnacle at $102 per concurrent user per month. These are public figures for the displayed billing selection; confirm currency, contract, tax and exact quote before purchase.

Concurrent licensing counts simultaneous active users rather than all named staff. When the purchased concurrent seats are occupied, another user waits for an available license, so estimate peak quoting activity as well as team size.

Balanced adds QuoteValet, online acceptance/e-signature and card or ACH collection above Essential. Pinnacle adds more advanced procurement and integration features. These customer actions belong to the selected paid tier and payment setup.

The site also displays lower annual-billed monthly equivalents under an annual contract. It lists optional add-ons for specialized workflows, so compare the full selected subscription and add-ons rather than only the base per-license price.

QuoteWerks Desktop has separate pricing. Vendor setup material says Web access can also be an add-on to Desktop, and an existing Desktop database may need migration or hosting work for Web access. Confirm the actual route with the vendor.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

Map the quote stages you need: product configuration, internal approval, customer acceptance, payment and purchasing handoff. Essential does not list the same online acceptance and payment path shown for Balanced and Pinnacle.

Check peak simultaneous users and license behavior. A large named team can share a smaller concurrent pool, but a full pool causes the next user to wait.

For an established Desktop installation, ask about database backend, Web access licensing, existing QuoteValet subscriptions and implementation work before treating the Web price as a direct replacement.

No account, quote creation, approval, customer acceptance, payment, integration, subscription or purchase was tested. Pricing and plan details are from current public vendor pages.
