Find your fit
Who it is for
An MSP sales team quoting hardware, software licensing and recurring services can build a single proposal with grouped sections and subtotals. Optional items and bundles let a buyer compare choices without requesting a fresh document for each combination.
A manager who delegates quoting can use cost and margin visibility plus approval rules to review exceptions before they go to clients. Test the thresholds with sample quotes so an ordinary sale moves while a low-margin or heavily discounted one receives review.
A team that hands accepted work to service and finance tools may use Quoter's PSA, CRM, accounting and payment connections. Check each exact integration and its sync direction against the current stack before promising a seamless handoff.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
Quote templates. Start with a reusable proposal structure containing the intended language, terms and sections, then adapt the client and offer details. This helps keep routine quotes consistent without treating every request as a blank page.
Sections and choices. Group hardware, service, labor and recurring items with subtotals, then add bundles, optional items or a single-select alternative where a client needs to choose a package. Preview the final combinations and tax/shipping treatment before publishing.
Product data and pricing. Product Cloud can bring catalog descriptions and specifications into a quote, while supported distributor connections or SupplierSync feeds provide pricing and availability context. Treat that context as integration-dependent and verify supplier account coverage before relying on a live price.
Configuration. Pricing rules, selectable options, discounts and add-ons can model more complex hardware or service offers. Pilot one real recurring service and one hardware bundle to check how the line items appear to the client.
Review and approval. Inspect costs and margin before a quote is sent, and route exceptional discounts or margin levels through manager approval rules. Define who can override and what happens when the approver is unavailable.
Follow-up. Quote management can show opens and schedule reminders for pending proposals. Use it to set a clear next action, while confirming that notification timing suits the team's sales practice.
Client acceptance. The buyer can review the proposed items and choices, then sign and accept online. Check the full buyer view, including optional items and terms, before sending a live proposal.
Agreements and payment. Quoter Contracts supports saved agreement templates, multiple signers and renewal dates; payment collection can follow acceptance through a supported processor. Set up and test these steps separately because signing and collecting money have distinct operational requirements.

Pricing and getting started
The viewed pricing page bases the standard plans on monthly published quotes and lists unlimited users. It shows Standard at $299/month for 75 quotes, Pro at $449/month for 150, and Enterprise at $599/month for 250. The page does not explicitly name the dollar currency; confirm currency, tax and any regional terms in the quote.
Quoter is billed monthly on a 12-month term. An activation fee includes onboarding help for catalog items, proposal styling, settings and integrations, but the reviewed page does not state the amount. Ask for the full first-year total and the activation amount in writing.
Enterprise adds the reseller and multi-tenant workflows in the current comparison. If the team reaches its monthly published-quote limit, it can still draft and publish revisions to existing quotes, but new published quotes wait for reset or a plan upgrade.
Online payment collection requires a supported third-party processor. ScalePad says it adds no Quoter transaction fee, while the processor can charge its own fees. Confirm the chosen gateway, payment methods and fee schedule before enabling collection.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
Run a sample quote from start to finish: template, hardware and recurring service line items, optional choice, margin review, approval, client view and revision. This reveals whether the proposal layout and controls match the team's actual selling process.
For distributor-fed hardware, compare one sample SKU, cost and availability against the supplier portal. For downstream tools, check the exact PSA, CRM and accounting integration, permissions and sync behavior. Current source pages describe capabilities; they do not prove a particular customer's configuration.
Count expected new published quotes separately from revisions, and request the full commercial terms including activation and payment-processing costs.
