Who it is for
Plooto suits a small or midsize finance team or an accounting firm managing client payables and receivables. Its value is clearest where bill approvals, payment status and accounting-system handoff create manual work. Firms should check the client-only Go offer separately from plans for their own business account.
The vendor describes EFT for Canadian businesses and ACH for US payments, plus supported international vendor payments. A buyer with cross-border operations should check its own account location, connected bank, payment rail, recipient country and currency before assuming a specific route works.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
On the payable side, invoices can enter through email or direct upload into Plooto Capture. The service processes invoice data and can sync it to connected accounting software. An AP reviewer should compare the captured supplier, amount, currency and due date with the original before approving payment.
Approval workflows can route a supplier payment to the people who need to review it. Go is described with one designated approver, while Grow adds multiple rules and approvers. Map a routine bill and an exception bill to the intended approval path before enabling broader automation.
After approval, Plooto can create a vendor payment and synchronize payment status back to the accounting system. One-time and recurring schedules are described. Check the final funding account, approver and payee before any live payment, especially for a recurring instruction.
For receivables, Plooto describes customer invoicing, recurring payments and pre-authorized debit collection. Customers can view and pay invoices online; the team can see pending, completed and new receivables in one place. Test how a partially paid or disputed invoice would be tracked in the accounting system.
Credit-card acceptance is another customer payment option. Its charges and payout timing can differ from bank debits, so model the actual customer method instead of treating all collections as equivalent.
Plooto describes two-way sync with QuickBooks, Xero and NetSuite for AP and AR information. The viewed pricing page places NetSuite on Pro as an add-on. Check the exact accounting edition, imported records, status updates and conflict handling in the written scope.
The vendor describes Canadian EFT and US ACH, with international supplier payments following its AP approval flow. Foreign-exchange and same-currency cross-border payments have different cost treatments. Validate the origin, destination, settlement currency and payment method before scheduling one.

Pricing and getting started
The viewed pricing page presents Go, Grow and Pro. Go is marked client-only and has a basic one-approver setup, one connected bank account and up to five domestic transactions a month. Grow adds custom approvals and removes the listed domestic transaction cap; Pro adds stronger change controls and SSO, with NetSuite listed as an extra add-on.
The page displays Go at $9 monthly, Grow starting at $32 monthly and Pro starting at $99 monthly. The retained page text does not establish one universal currency or eligibility for every buyer. Request a current quote showing country, currency, customer type, plan, billing term, bank accounts and any accounting add-on.
Subscription price is only part of the cost. The matrix separates domestic EFT/EMT, ACH, cross-border and card-funded payment charges, and offers optional payment packages on eligible tiers. Estimate the fee for the methods and monthly transaction volume the team will actually use.
Same-currency cross-border payments have a stated plan-dependent charge, while foreign-exchange transfers are described without a transfer fee. Exchange rates and other conditional charges can still change the total. Review the complete conversion estimate before any live payment.
Plooto advertises a 30-day free trial with ten domestic transactions and no credit card requirement. Confirm the selected plan, trial rights and what happens at conversion before using it for real supplier or customer payments.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
For a no-payment evaluation, trace one fictional supplier invoice from import through data review, approval, payment preparation and accounting status. Verify that the same person cannot quietly change both payee details and approval rules under the planned permissions.
Trace one fictional customer invoice separately through online payment selection and receivable status. Check the actual card or debit fees and how a failed, partial or disputed collection would appear in the connected accounting system.
Before rollout, confirm company and bank verification requirements, Canada/US account eligibility, recipient-country support, and the quoted fee for each rail and currency. The official pages describe available routes but do not verify a particular business, bank or payment.
