Find your fit
Who it is for
It suits an agency or brand team whose posts need client, manager or other stakeholder review before publication. Workspaces keep brands apart, and team-only notes allow internal iteration before a client sees the draft.
A social manager can use its schedule across major channels and add comment handling or reporting when those jobs matter. Check the account type and supported action for each connected channel.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
Social publishing. Draft and preview posts, choose a date, and schedule them from the workspace or calendar. Planable can auto-schedule an approved post, but each network has its own supported account and post formats.
Comment management. With the Social Inbox add-on, permitted workspace members can respond to supported comments. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok Business accounts are documented; the add-on and network limits matter before replacing native moderation.
Social analytics. With the Analytics add-on, review connected-page and post metrics such as impressions and engagement, then build reports. This is a paid-workspace add-on; metric coverage varies by platform.

Pricing and getting started
The free plan can be used without a time limit, but its 50 created posts are a lifetime allowance: deleting a post does not restore a slot. This makes it useful for trying the core workflow, not a recurring 50-post monthly tier.
The vendor help page lists Basic at $39 per workspace per month or $390 per year and Pro at $59 or $590; Enterprise is custom and starts around $2,500 yearly. Basic lists four social pages and 60 posts per workspace monthly; Pro lists ten pages and 150. Check current checkout, billing region and the workspace count.
Analytics is listed at $14 per workspace per month and Social Inbox at $9, with yearly choices and a 30-day add-on trial. The vendor says the Analytics trial requires a paid plan. Budget these separately from the base workspace subscription.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
Choose the approval level before moving client work. Basic offers none or optional approval, while Pro adds required sign-off. Bulk calendar approval requests are documented for Pro and Enterprise.
The Social Inbox has channel and account restrictions, including TikTok Business accounts and partial LinkedIn personal-profile handling. Its help page says comments are retrieved only for posts published within the last 14 days. Test the actual inbox and moderation history you need.
The Analytics add-on supports cross-channel and single-channel views, but the available metrics and paid/organic splits vary by network and account type. Verify the measures required for your reports before buying it.
Workspaces, page counts, post limits and add-ons all affect the bill. A team running many clients should calculate the number of paid workspaces and optional modules, then verify the checkout terms.
SoftwareExplained has not connected an account, scheduled a post, obtained a client approval, answered a comment or exported a report. A useful trial would put one real draft through the required review path, publish to a needed channel and test any paid add-on separately.
