Who it is for
A growing HR team can use PeopleForce to maintain a reliable employee directory and organization chart, route leave requests to managers and coordinate the steps before and after a person joins. That is most useful when HR has clear ownership for data updates and approval rules.
For a team replacing spreadsheets or scattered files, Core HR offers document storage, a knowledge base and workforce reports alongside the daily workflows. Recruiting, performance reviews, employee surveys, case management and time tracking appear as other PeopleForce products, so they need an explicit module check.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
Core HR keeps an employee profile and an organization chart with reporting lines and departments. Before import, decide which fields are authoritative, who can edit them and how changes are reviewed so the directory remains useful after launch.
Employees can request leave while managers approve and balances update in the platform. HR can configure leave types, paid and unpaid balances, and approval responsibilities. Pilot a few representative policies, including a carryover or exception, before relying on the calculated balance.
The vendor also describes mobile leave requests and manager push notifications. Test the app with an actual manager and employee role, and confirm how a request is handled if a notification is missed or the approver is away.
Onboarding and offboarding journeys can collect tasks, documents and approvals. Programs can be tailored by department and deadlines, giving each responsible person a clear step. HR should rehearse one synthetic new-hire and one offboarding path before using personal records.
Basic HR workflows cover repeatable tasks, approvals and reminders. Build a small, well-owned workflow first and check whether the selected plan allows the specific triggers and forms needed; the Professional tier has additional automation.
Core HR includes document and asset storage, a company knowledge base, and workforce reporting. PeopleForce advertises headcount, turnover, compensation and leave-balance views; confirm the actual report fields, access and export needs with a sample dataset.

Pricing and getting started
The October 20, 2026 pricing page displays Core HR Standard at $2.5 and Professional at $3 per employee per month, and says billing starts from 50 employees. It also has an interactive calculator and taxes are extra. Get a written quote for the exact employee count, billing choice, currency and add-ons rather than multiplying the headline rate alone.
Standard lists the employee directory, leave management, onboarding/offboarding, basic automation, documents, assets, knowledge and reports. The official help comparison confirms it covers the main day-to-day Core HR workflow.
Professional adds advanced and recurring workflows, more request forms, eSignature, API access, webhooks and corporate SSO. The help page describes built-in eSignature credits, so ask how many signatures are included and whether any external integration requires an extra product or setup.
Recruit, Perform, Pulse, Time and Desk are separately presented products; PeopleForce directs buyers to its team for added-product pricing. After a representative-led demo it offers a 14-day trial without payment information. Trial access may be tailored to specific products, and continuing after expiry requires an upgrade.

Before you choose
Use a small synthetic pilot to import a few sample employee records, confirm roles and reporting lines, request and approve leave under two policies, and complete an onboarding checklist. Compare the outputs with the organization’s current source of truth before migrating real personnel files.
Ask who maintains employee data, leave policies, documents and workflow triggers, and who can see compensation or other sensitive fields. Test sample report access and an export route before relying on the system for HR records.
Before buying, confirm the 50-employee billing floor, tax and billing commitment, exact module bundle, Professional-only automation and eSignature rights, and trial data retention or export terms. A product-tour feature should not be taken as proof of Standard-plan entitlement.
