Find your fit
Who it is for
A creator selling ebooks, templates or other files can upload the product, set a price and deliver files after purchase. Check the actual file format, size and buyer download experience with a harmless sample before migrating a full catalog.
A seller shipping tangible goods can list variations, track stock and set location-based shipping. Payhip provides the order workflow, while the seller still needs a carrier and a reliable packing and dispatch process.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
The store builder uses pages and sections and lets the seller adjust visual details. Preview the store in mobile mode, and replace default placeholder content before sharing the link with buyers.
For a digital product, upload files, add cover art, description and price. The Help Center currently states a 5GB limit per uploaded file. A completed purchase leads to a download page and receipt link, so test how a sample buyer will retrieve files later.
Physical listings can have size or color variations and optional inventory tracking. The tracked quantity decreases after a sale; check each variation and low-stock edge case before taking live orders.
Shipping profiles can apply to the whole catalog or selected products. Within a zone, rates can use a flat amount, item weight or order price, and local pickup is an option. Build a fictional mixed cart for each intended destination to check what the buyer sees.
After a physical sale, the seller packs and ships the item. Payhip can mark an order shipped and send tracking details, but the actual carrier service and delivery obligation remain with the seller.
Visible products appear in the store, Unlisted products can be shared by direct link, and Invisible products are inaccessible to buyers even through a direct checkout link. Check the setting before launching a private offer or replacing a product page.
A buyer may start at the storefront, a product page or a direct checkout link. The checkout asks for email and an available payment method. Appearance options for digital and physical checkout include logo and banner treatment; review the final mobile checkout for each product type.
Payhip also supports subscription product pages. Buyers create a password and reach a subscription page to manage billing and associated content; test the intended access and cancellation experience separately before selling a membership.

Pricing and getting started
The captured official billing guide lists Free Forever at $0 monthly, Plus at $29 monthly and Pro at $99 monthly. It says the plans share features and mainly change Payhip’s transaction fee. Confirm the current checkout quote, currency and taxes for the seller’s location before choosing a plan.
The same guide lists a 5% Payhip transaction fee on Free, 2% on Plus and none from Payhip on Pro. Processor transaction fees still apply. Compare the expected number and value of sales, refunds and chosen processor terms rather than treating the Pro label as fee-free checkout.
A supported payment processor must be connected before selling. Payhip’s current payment guide lists several provider options and directs sellers to country, payment-method, payout and fee details for each. Verify the intended country and card or wallet methods with the selected provider before launch.
Payhip’s tax guidance says automatic digital EU and UK VAT handling is enabled by default and can be changed in the tax settings. Sellers with physical goods, mixed catalogs or other jurisdictions should review their own tax configuration and professional obligations for the intended market.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
Create a harmless sample digital item and trace the product page, checkout, receipt and later download link without charging a real buyer. For a private launch, verify that Unlisted works as intended and that Invisible prevents buyer access.
For physical goods, try fictional carts with different variations, weights and countries. Check stock, shipping rate, pickup and the handoff from paid order to carrier dispatch before accepting real orders.
Before migrating sales, calculate the total of subscription price, Payhip transaction fee, processor charges and applicable taxes for representative orders. Confirm regional provider and payout support in the actual account offer.
