Pandle

What it does

Pandle is online bookkeeping software presented for UK small businesses, freelancers and sole traders. The free version covers core records such as imported bank statements, quotes, invoices and financial reports. Pro adds direct bank feeds and more automation. A buyer should check UK tax fit, supported banks and the difference between importing a file and connecting a live feed.

Who it is for

A small business moving from spreadsheets can try the free plan with a sample bank CSV, a few invoices and a month-end report. Reconcile the sample against the original statement before migrating old balances.

A business handling frequent bank transactions may benefit from Pro feeds and bank rules, provided its bank is supported and automated matching behaves as expected. Compare the feed with manual file imports before paying for convenience.

An owner who invoices in more than one currency can test one quote-to-invoice flow and inspect how currency conversion appears in the records and reports. This is a workflow check, not tax or foreign-exchange advice.

The work it supports

Core capabilities

Bank data. Free Pandle lists bank imports, including uploaded statement files. Pro lists direct bank feeds; check the supported-bank list and reconcile a sample statement so missing or duplicate transactions are caught.

Automation. Pandle describes rules for categorizing transactions, matching invoice payments and assigning tax codes. Its free-versus-Pro explanation puts these time-saving rules in Pro; review proposed postings before trusting them for the full ledger.

Invoices. The free plan includes quotes and invoices. Pandle describes customizable templates and converting an accepted quote into an invoice; test the template, payment terms and any tax-code choices with a sample customer.

Collections. Automatic reminders can be scheduled for unpaid invoices. Check recipients, wording and cadence in a safe sample before activating real customer emails.

Reports. The free plan lists business reports. Pandle describes profit and loss, payables and receivables, balance sheet and trial balance views. Compare one report to the same period in the source books before relying on it.

Forecasts. Pro lists cash-flow forecasting separately from general business reports. Review projected inflows and outflows against actual invoice due dates and known bills; a forecast is only as useful as its underlying records.

Record control and currency. Pandle describes multiple currencies and date-range transaction locking. Test a foreign-currency invoice and a closed period so staff know how corrections are made without silently changing prior records.

Pricing and getting started

Pandle lists a continuing free accounting plan with bank imports, business reports, quotes and invoices. It is a sensible first place to check whether the core workflow fits before evaluating Pro automation.

The current UK pricing page shows Pandle Pro at £5 per month plus VAT, adding bank feeds, receipt uploads, projects and cash-flow forecasting. Pro is described as a rolling monthly subscription without an annual option; confirm the live checkout total and regional availability.

Pandle advertises a 14-day Pro trial without card details. The vendor says trial expiry offers a choice between upgrading and continuing on Free; cancelling a paid Pro subscription also returns the account to Free while retaining bookkeeping data. Check which Pro functions you would lose.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

The public materials are UK-oriented, including GBP plus-VAT pricing and Making Tax Digital features. A business outside the UK should confirm eligibility, bank connections, supported tax workflows and local accounting requirements directly before adopting it.

Plan the switch with real sample data. Verify opening balances, one bank import or feed, invoice matching, the profit-and-loss report and any tax-code rule with the business’s bookkeeper or accountant before moving the full ledger.

This profile uses current public Pandle pages. No live account, bank connection, accounting entry, invoice send, tax submission, trial signup or payment was operated.
