Who it is for
An ecommerce team can connect its store, verify a sending address, build a newsletter or promotion, and send it to subscribed contacts or a chosen segment. Campaigns are created and scheduled manually, while the same email channel also supports triggered messages.
For lifecycle messaging, a team can start from welcome, abandoned-cart or post-purchase presets and adjust triggers, delays and message paths. Store data drives most workflows; cart and browsing behavior differs by ecommerce integration, and search abandonment is Shopify-only.

Pricing and getting started
The ongoing Free plan has no card requirement and allows up to 500 email sends per month to 250 unique contacts. It can store more contacts than that, but a campaign must select no more than 250 recipients until upgrade. Standard provides email credits equal to twelve times the contact count each billing cycle; current Pro offers unlimited email sending.
Pricing depends on the billable contact tier and the offer shown at checkout. The current public calculator displays a temporary promotion while Omnisend’s 2026 help lists regular plan starting amounts, so confirm the amount and renewal terms in the account before paying. Cleaning inactive contacts may affect the next billing cycle rather than the current one.
For subscriptions begun on or after May 4, 2026, SMS requires Pro and a separate credits subscription; Free and Standard do not include SMS access. Eligible older Free or Standard accounts with continuously active legacy SMS subscriptions may retain older rates. Legacy Pro included credits are scheduled to end with the October 26, 2026 migration. Current per-message charges depend on destination and monthly volume, and longer texts can consume multiple credits.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
Confirm which ecommerce events the connected store supplies before planning cart or browse sequences. Product and search abandonment are narrower than ordinary cart workflows; Search Abandonment is described as Shopify-only.
Build segments from contact and store data, then check email-channel subscription before sending. Some filters depend on the linked ecommerce platform and the data it synchronizes.
Treat SMS as an optional channel with separate eligibility and spend. A multi-channel workflow can check channel availability and subscription status, but account plan, message length, destination and credits determine whether an SMS step is practical.
Verify sender domain and address before the first campaign, and compare the actual contact count, email allowance and SMS terms on the account billing screen. Public pages were checked October 15, 2026; no account, store integration, send, automation, SMS charge or checkout was tested.
