Metricool

What it does

Metricool is a social media workspace organized by brand. A user connects supported profiles, prepares and schedules posts in a calendar, checks published content in Analytics, and answers supported comments or messages in that brand’s Inbox. The same brand can also hold ad and website connections.

Find your fit

Who it is for

A solo creator or small business managing one brand can start with Free, provided 20 published posts per month, one month of analytics history and the absence of LinkedIn and X fit the routine.

A social manager handling several brands or client reporting can compare Starter with Advanced. Starter extends brand capacity and reports; Advanced is where the vendor lists roles, approvals, custom reporting and API access.

Brand count needs a practical check: a brand is a workspace with one account per platform. A business with multiple accounts on the same platform may need extra brands even before it adds more clients.

The work it supports

Core capabilities

Publishing. Build a schedule in the planning calendar and schedule posts ahead. Check each connected network and post format because the method of publication can vary.

Conversations. Work through comments and messages supported by the selected brand’s Inbox. The vendor documents exceptions for particular network account types and conversation types.

Measurement. Analytics shows performance and engagement for connected profiles. Post-level coverage can vary by network and plan.

Pricing and getting started

Free is ongoing for one brand, up to 20 posts per month and 30 days of analytics. LinkedIn and X connections are excluded. This is a useful trial of the core brand workflow, but its post allowance and history are tight for an active team.

Starter comes in five- and ten-brand versions and adds LinkedIn, PDF/PPT reports and unlimited analytics history. The vendor lists an entry price from $20 per month billed annually or $25 billed monthly; currency, region and brand choice should be checked at checkout.

Advanced has 15-, 25- and 50-brand options with roles, approvals, report templates and API access. X connection and expanded Advanced Analytics are paid extras on eligible plans; an X add-on covers one X account per brand.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

The Inbox combines supported conversations within one brand, but does not combine multiple brands. There are no push or email alerts for new comments or messages, so a moderation team needs a check-in routine.

Network details matter. LinkedIn private messages are unavailable in Inbox, Facebook and Instagram ad comments cannot be answered there, and other channels have account-type or connection requirements. Pilot the exact accounts and message types you expect to handle.

Analytics is subject to social-platform API limits and plan rules. Compare the specific network metrics and report exports required by your team before making a reporting commitment.

SoftwareExplained has not connected an account, published posts, operated Inbox or exported a report. Pricing and plan details are a 15 October 2026 public-source snapshot; a buyer should confirm the current quote and connected-channel behavior.
