Mailercloud

What it does

Mailercloud’s Marketing Platform is for regular email campaigns, targeted contact segments and automated follow-up workflows. A marketer can choose an opted-in audience, build and schedule an email campaign, then use contact or campaign activity to start a separate automation. This profile covers the Marketing Platform; transactional application sending is a separately priced Email API product.

Who it is for

For a newsletter or promotion, a regular campaign starts with sender and subject details, then email content and an audience. Mailercloud documents lists, tags and segments as recipient choices, with exclusions and an estimated contact count. The team can send now, schedule later or spread the send over slots.

To tailor a campaign, segments can group subscribers by status, rating, tags and other available criteria. Confirm that the selected group represents people who opted in to this communication. The campaign’s exclusion and frequency settings provide additional controls before launch.

For ongoing follow-up, automation workflows can respond to contact or campaign activity. The public feature page describes trigger points, delays and If/Else or wait conditions. Set up the actual event data and test entry conditions in an account before relying on a workflow.

Pricing and getting started

The current Marketing Platform pricing page advertises a forever-free plan with up to 1,000 contacts and 12,000 email sends per month, with no card required to start. Its table marks the Free workflow editor Basic and the Premium editor Advanced, so confirm the exact automation steps your free account permits before planning a complex journey.

Paid pricing is based on the number of stored contacts. The vendor calls paid sending unlimited under fair use, which it describes as normal email activity to opted-in contacts. Verify the contact tier, billing currency, taxes, upgrade rules and final quote in the plan builder rather than treating one displayed example as a universal price.

The Email API is billed separately from the Marketing Platform. A business needing app-triggered receipts or other transactional mail should price that API path separately instead of assuming it is part of its marketing subscription.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

The regular campaign guide includes a verified sender address, chosen recipients, exclusions and an estimated count. Check all four before scheduling, especially when several lists or tags overlap.

Review the exact Free or Premium automation allowance in the current account. The pricing comparison distinguishes Basic from Advanced workflow editing, while the feature page describes broader workflow options without attaching every action to a specific plan.

Research scope: current official public pages checked October 15, 2026. No account, contact import, sender verification, campaign send, automation activation, deliverability result or checkout was tested.
