Loxo

What it does

Loxo brings candidate sourcing, recruiting CRM, ATS job pipelines and outreach into one recruiting workflow. A recruiter can find a person in Source or the internal database, add that person to a chosen job stage, track progress and communications in the shared record, and invite a hiring manager to review a selected pipeline. Which Source, agent and contact-data tools are available depends on the plan and credit allowance.

Who it is for

Recruiting firms handling several client searches can use the shared CRM and ATS to keep candidate context beside job-stage movement. The Master Pipeline offers a cross-job view, while job and pipeline reports help identify a stalled search. This is most useful when the team agrees on stage definitions and keeps communication in the shared record.

A smaller agency can consider Core for ATS and CRM work, while Professional adds the wider Loxo Source and agent workforce. A buyer should confirm whether a legacy one-user Free account is currently available: Help describes it, but the current public pricing grid does not show a Free card. Price the actual sourcing and contact-data volume before assuming the broader platform is included.

The work it supports

Core capabilities

Loxo Source can search the vendor source and a firm's internal candidate database with natural-language terms, Boolean logic and filters. From within a Job Pipeline, a recruiter can choose which stage receives a sourced person; the same result can be added to a job, campaign or list. Test whether the specific search filters and contact data needed by a team are in its contracted tier.

The ATS has configurable stages, fields and job templates. Recruiters can move candidates in a Kanban view and inspect the Master Pipeline across active jobs. Set up one realistic fictional job with the team's actual stages before migrating records, because the stage model shapes reports and automations later.

Stage movement can trigger configured communication, scheduling, outreach or submittal actions. Map the trigger and recipient before turning on an automation: moving a candidate for internal review should not accidentally start a contact campaign. Keep a human decision point where a shortlist or submission needs judgment.

The Recruiting CRM collects candidates, clients, conversations, notes and activity history in one place. Search and filters help locate a person, and a recruiter can move the result into a job, campaign, list or call queue. Check duplicate handling and permissions with sample records before importing an existing candidate database.

Outreach brings email, SMS, phone and meeting activity into the recruiting record. Multi-stage sequences can send personalized email or SMS follow-ups, and interaction history can be logged on a profile. Confirm channel permissions, consent, sending identity and stop rules in a non-send draft before contacting real candidates.

The Hiring Manager Portal can share selected jobs, candidate stages and profiles with a hiring manager who may comment or rate candidates. Portal access is through an invitation or link; review exactly which jobs and candidate details are exposed before sharing it externally. A fictional job is enough to check that the view matches the intended audience.

Contact finding can fetch an individual email or phone, or run across a job stage. An automated stage fetch uses credits per candidate and contact type when information is found. Adding a sourced person straight to an Outreach Campaign can also use a credit to find contact information, so a seemingly simple stage or campaign action may have a data cost.

Natural-language candidate search itself is documented as free of credit charges, while adding people from that search to a job can consume credits. Inspect the Credit Usage view and test one fictional search-to-job path to understand the billing boundary before bulk additions.

ATS reports cover pipeline health, conversion, job search performance and recruiter activity. Use them to check where candidates are stalled, but agree how stages and owners are recorded first; inconsistent records can make a polished report misleading.

Understand the offer

Pricing and getting started

The captured pricing grid lists Core from a displayed $149 per user per month, billed annually and paid up front, under a limited-time new-customer offer. Core includes ATS, recruiting CRM, AI search, unlimited jobs/candidates/companies, pipeline reporting and email/calendar sync. Ask for the currency and written annual total because the public dollar display and starting amount do not define the entire contract.

Professional is priced through a demo/quote and adds Loxo Source, the agent workforce, API access and 2,500 credits per seat each month pooled across the team. Enterprise has a custom annual agreement with SSO/SAML, advanced roles and priority support. Confirm each tool and seat count in the order form rather than reading the broad platform description as a Core entitlement.

The current page offers a seven-day trial with Professional access and no credit card. Trial tools and credits may exceed what a later Core subscription includes. Help still describes a single-user Free plan, while the current pricing grid presents only the paid cards; confirm whether Free signup remains available and which rights persist after the trial.

Contact finding and some agent actions consume Loxo Credits. Professional's included pool refreshes monthly, while extra Boost capacity and purchased recurring credit plans can raise the cost. Help says recurring extra-credit plans are canceled through Support. Estimate source-to-job and contact-fetch actions before comparing the seat price alone.

Loxo's Help says the website's displayed prices are first-year promotional pricing for new customers and promotional features or rates can revert to then-current list terms at renewal. Annual contracts renew for the same term unless the agreement says otherwise, and term changes need written notice at least 30 days before renewal. Request the first-year total, renewal basis, seat minimum and credit/add-on terms in writing.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

To evaluate the core workflow, use invented candidate cards: source one, place it in a job stage, move it through a review step, and check the shared CRM history and hiring-manager view. Confirm that a stage action does not send a message or spend credits without the recruiter intending it.

For an agency migration, map existing pipeline stages, candidate ownership and client access before loading real profiles. Check a cross-job report and portal invitation with fictional data first. The portal can reveal live candidate background and comments, so use its job selection and sharing controls deliberately.

Commercially, compare the contracted plan with the sequence the team actually uses: Core ATS/CRM, Professional Source and agents, fetched contact data, outreach channels, portal access and any recurring credit Boost. Treat the single-user Free Help reference as something to verify against current signup, and record both the promotional first-year amount and renewal rule.
