Loops

What it does

Loops brings marketing campaigns, lifecycle workflows and transactional email into one SaaS-focused email platform. A team can sync contact properties and product events, send a campaign to a saved segment, and trigger a separate sequence after a customer action. Transactional account messages use their own one-to-one send path.

Who it is for

For a product or growth team, a typical campaign starts with contacts and a chosen audience: write a product update or newsletter, select a segment, then schedule it or send it immediately. Saved filters can use contact properties and campaign or workflow activity, and they update when the underlying contact data changes.

For lifecycle email, a workflow can begin when a contact is added, a property changes, a list gains a contact or an app sends an event. The builder combines email nodes with delays, audience filters and branches. The app must keep event and property data current for these rules to follow the intended customer state.

Pricing and getting started

The current Free plan does not expire. It can store unlimited contacts, but sends up to 4,000 marketing and transactional emails combined in a rolling 30-day window to the first 1,000 contacts, and outgoing mail carries Loops branding. This differs from older help text that described a 1,000-contact storage cap; check the current pricing page before relying on either limit.

Paid pricing follows the number of subscribed contacts; unsubscribed contacts do not count. At the page checked October 15, 2026, Growth displays $49 per month for up to 5,000 subscribed contacts, with unlimited marketing and transactional sends and no Loops footer. “Unlimited” refers to total sends; Loops documents a per-second rate limit and queues excess traffic. Confirm currency, tier, contact count and checkout terms before subscribing.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

You need control of a sending domain and its DNS records before sending. Plan a small test campaign and a workflow test with current contact properties and events; public documentation does not prove your own DNS, consent or trigger data is configured correctly.

Keep account messages separate from promotional email. Loops says transactional messages are API-triggered, do not include an unsubscribe link and do not track opens or clicks; it tells customers not to use that route for marketing content. Unsubscribed contacts can still receive true transactional messages.

Research scope: current official pages checked October 15, 2026. No account, DNS verification, contact import, campaign send, workflow trigger, API request, deliverability result or checkout was tested.
