Find your fit
Who it is for
It suits a support team that wants to answer website questions while testing automation for routine cases. Set the topics an AI agent may handle, and route uncertainty or sensitive requests to a staffed inbox rather than leaving a visitor at a dead end.
Teams supporting customers through several channels can evaluate the website widget and mobile SDKs first, then add the messaging channels they actually need. Check channel availability and provider terms instead of assuming every channel is included in every plan.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
The website widget can be added through a site script and customized for the customer-facing chat entry point. Test its behavior on desktop and phone, plus what a visitor sees when support staff are unavailable.
Incoming conversations can be assigned to AI or human agents with manual or rules-based routing. Human automatic assignment can rotate among available agents and skip those marked offline or away. Verify a default owner for unassigned conversations.
An AI agent can gather details or answer a routine question, then pass a conversation to a human when it cannot answer. Define guardrails and rehearse handoff with test messages to check the context the person receives and avoid confident but incorrect automated replies.
The agent conversation view lists assigned, all and resolved chats, including AI conversations. Internal notes and saved quick replies help teammates coordinate. Set access rules for notes and customer details before connecting a real inbox.
Support staff can review conversation history and send a transcript. The analytics page describes conversation counts, first response time and resolution time. Confirm data-retention rules, report access and metric definitions with sample conversations.
Kommunicate advertises web, mobile app, messaging, email and voice deployment. The native and hybrid SDKs need app integration work, while third-party channels may have approval or charges outside the base subscription. Prioritize the channels customers actually use.

Pricing and getting started
The October 20, 2026 pricing page displays Starter at $40 per month when billed monthly. It includes one AI agent, one team member and 250 conversations per month; extra AI agents or team members are shown at $20 each per month and additional conversations at $15 per 1,000. Check how the vendor defines and rounds a conversation.
Starter lists web, mobile apps, WhatsApp, Telegram and Instagram channels. Verify the specific channel setup and any provider charges. Do not infer that Professional-only automation, API or reporting rights are available in Starter.
Professional displays $200 per month when billed monthly, with two AI agents, three team members and 2,000 conversations per month. Additional agents or members are listed at $30 each monthly and additional conversations at $10 per 1,000. It lists AI summaries, agent assistance, campaign messaging, API and webhooks.
Enterprise is quoted through sales and lists custom AI agent and seat counts, discounted usage and SLA-backed support. All plans advertise a 30-day free trial without a credit card. Obtain current tax, channel, add-on, support and post-trial terms before budgeting.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
Pilot one synthetic visitor question the AI can answer and one it must hand to a person. Inspect routing, agent notification, transferred context, internal notes and the final transcript. Include an after-hours case to see where it lands.
Estimate monthly conversations and staff seats from the existing support queue before choosing a plan. Compare the allowance with expected seasonal peaks; add-on seats, agents and conversation overages can change the effective cost beyond the base fee.
For AI automation, define questions that should always reach a person, review sample answers and log handoff failures. For a multichannel rollout, verify each required integration and data-retention policy before live customer traffic.
