Who it is for
It is relevant to an IT team that needs a recovery path for Microsoft 365 mail, files, SharePoint or Teams content beyond what remains in the live tenant. Map the tenant type, selected users and data areas before assuming a backup covers every account or collaboration object.
A Google Workspace administrator can compare its Drive, Gmail, calendar and task coverage with the organization’s actual data. The official coverage table has exclusions, so a small controlled restore is more useful than assuming the phrase “Workspace backup” includes every Google service.

Core capabilities
For Microsoft 365, Keepit describes user-related Exchange, OneDrive and Teams chat data and shared SharePoint, public-folder and Groups/Teams data. The connector backs up selected users, while guest-user data is excluded. Make a coverage inventory by workload and account type before rollout.
Creating a Microsoft 365 connector requires a service account, Microsoft sign-in and permission acceptance, then a review of what will be backed up. The setup guide says all data areas are included by default. Check the granted access and intentionally adjust selections before starting a production backup.
The Microsoft 365 guide describes restoring an individual file or folder to its original location. An administrator can open an earlier snapshot to choose an older version. Test with a disposable file to learn what the selected snapshot and destination do in the relevant workload.
Bulk Microsoft 365 restore is available, but the help guide distinguishes deleted items and other data-type exceptions. A recovery plan should spell out which items need individual restore, snapshot navigation or a different procedure rather than assuming one bulk command handles every loss.
For Google Workspace, Keepit’s coverage table includes Google Drive and Shared Drive files/folders, Gmail email, calendars and tasks. It excludes modern Sites and says unlisted items were unsupported in its June 2026 connector release. Match the current connector table to the services your team relies on.
The Google Workspace guide limits what it backs up for suspended users to Gmail and non-native-format Drive files. Include leavers and suspended accounts in a trial coverage report rather than assuming their data is handled the same way as active users.
Google Workspace items can be restored from an earlier snapshot. Its guide warns that a same-name item at the original location is overwritten and that action cannot be undone. Use disposable files and record the current version before any real restore.
For a set of deleted Google Workspace items, the guide describes opening a snapshot from before deletion and restoring multiple items from there. Validate the exact Drive or mailbox path and the resulting permissions with a controlled example.

Pricing and getting started
Keepit presents three contact-sales tiers rather than a public fixed price: Core Continuity, Business Resilience and Enterprise Resilience. Ask for a written quote that names each protected SaaS workload, seat count, storage region, retention and contract term.
Core Continuity lists recovery for up to five years, always-hot storage, SSO and MFA. Business Resilience increases listed recovery to up to ten years and adds multi-geo storage and add-on access. Confirm whether the quoted retention applies to each workload and region.
Enterprise Resilience adds a dedicated Customer Experience Manager, regular business reviews and top support priority. The pricing page also advertises bundle discounts across SaaS applications. Compare the actual service and add-on terms, not only the tier names.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
Before purchase, compare a coverage matrix with the live tenant: Microsoft 365 licensing and provisioning type, user and guest status, Google Workspace objects, suspended users and unsupported services. A source page listing a workload does not prove every item in that workload is backed up or restorable.
Run a controlled recovery exercise with fictional or disposable data. Select an older snapshot, inspect the item, restore it, and check the destination and permissions. This is especially important where Google Workspace restoration can overwrite an existing item and where Microsoft 365 bulk restore has deleted-item limits.
