IT Glue

What it does

IT Glue is a SaaS documentation system for MSPs and IT teams. A team creates a structured record for each client or internal organization, documents technical and nontechnical assets, links related items, stores knowledge articles and procedures, then controls who can find and open each record. It fits Knowledge Management through that documented knowledge workflow.

Who it is for

The strongest fit is an MSP managing many client environments or an internal IT group needing repeatable documentation. Organization containers can separate clients; a standard framework and flexible asset templates let technicians use the same categories for routine facts while modeling unusual services.

IT Glue can also suit teams that must join procedural knowledge with infrastructure, credentials and support context. It is a hosted documentation platform with PSA/RMM connections; buyers should define which records will sync and what stays in those other systems.

The work it supports

Core capabilities

Start by creating organizations and deciding which technical and nontechnical records each needs. The flexible asset engine can document network and server components. Existing knowledge articles and spreadsheets can be imported; test a small sample first and decide which source should own each field.

Flexible assets let a team customize fields and enforce documentation standards for its own services and infrastructure. Plan the fields before a larger import so technicians record the same kind of item consistently.

Create knowledge articles and SOP documents, then link them to related assets and other records. Search can run across organizations or within one organization and across asset types. A useful test is whether a technician can retrieve the right procedure from the relevant client record.

Access rules can be set by role, user and group, down to individual assets or whole organizations. The built-in password area adds folders, folder security, versioning and activity logs. Test the exact permission and audit behavior before loading real credentials.

PSA, RMM and BDR integrations and an API can help keep documentation in sync, but integration count and direction depend on the tier. Map ownership and connector access before a rollout.

The public import/export page says teams can import knowledge articles and spreadsheets, then export an individual asset, an organization or all documentation on demand. It also describes an API for custom import, export and synchronization. Test a representative export before treating it as a migration or recovery plan.

Pricing and getting started

The captured public pricing card displays Basic at $29 per user per month, Select at $38 and Enterprise at $44, generally with a five-user minimum. Enterprise also shows 1–4-user options at higher $49–102 per-user amounts. These are displayed starting figures, not a final quote.

The starred terms say these per-user monthly figures assume a 36-month contract and may vary with country exchange rates; a one-time onboarding fee applies. The FAQ says the subscription is billed monthly in USD and applicable taxes are charged in USD. Monthly billing therefore does not mean month-to-month cancellation rights.

Basic lists one integration and one-way PSA/CRM and RMM sync. Select raises the integration count to two and adds two-way PSA/CRM sync. Enterprise lists unlimited integrations and keeps the RMM direction one-way. Confirm the named PSA/RMM connector and permitted direction on the actual order.

The page describes billable users as people with read/write rights or broad read-only staff access, while it separately lists Lite Users. Count the roles needed for technicians, managers and external collaborators, and verify whether their rights and minimum seats are reflected in the quote.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

An evaluation could model one fictional client: add a technical asset, create a flexible asset and SOP, link the records, then have two differently scoped users search for them. This exposes template and permission decisions before placing real customer infrastructure or credentials in the system.

Test export and recovery early with sample data. IT Glue advertises asset, organization and complete-documentation export, but the public feature page does not specify every field, link, history item or credential treatment. Inspect the actual output against the target system and your storage rules before relying on it.

For real adoption, price the minimum technician seats, the 36-month term, onboarding, tax and exchange-rate treatment together. Keep the add-on offers below the core cards separate, and confirm any security, automation or integration behavior that depends on another Kaseya product or license.

IT Glue is a hosted SaaS product. A buyer with an on-premises requirement should resolve that constraint before trial or procurement. If the team stores credentials, design role and folder access around actual responsibilities rather than assuming a shared vault is sufficient by itself.
