Find your fit
Who it is for
It is aimed at US small businesses with shift work, tips, overtime or variable pay rates. Homebase says payroll is available to US-based customers in all 50 states and Washington, DC.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
Review time and wage information, then run payroll from connected schedules and timesheets. Confirm overtime and tips for the actual workforce before the first live run.
Homebase says it files federal, state and supported local payroll taxes. Its tax guide also points to Unsupported Taxes & Forms for items the employer must pay directly, so check coverage for each location.
Pay employees by direct deposit or printable check. Two-day direct deposit is available only after qualification; do not budget on that timing for every new account.

Pricing and getting started
The freshly captured US pages show $49 per month plus $6 per employee. One calls the employee “active”; the other says “employee paid” and that only paid employees are charged. Confirm the charging definition for your workforce. Homebase says the payroll subscription is month-to-month and cancellable without its own penalty.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
Multiple locations can share a payroll run only under the same EIN, pay schedule and pay frequency. Confirm that configuration, deposit qualification and any unsupported local tax forms before switching.
Homebase offers a free transfer service, but leaving an existing provider may have separate notice or termination terms. Review that contract and validate employee/tax data before the first live payroll.
