HelpSpace

What it does

HelpSpace brings support email and form requests into a shared ticket inbox, where a team can assign and work them. It connects those conversations to internal tasks, customer context and a Docs knowledge base. An embeddable widget offers articles or a way to submit a ticket from a website or app.

Who it is for

The vendor positions HelpSpace for small and medium-sized support teams. It suits a team that has outgrown separate email inboxes and needs a visible owner, status and history for each customer request.

It is also relevant when an answer starts as a support ticket but needs internal follow-up. Linked tasks and boards give that work a separate owner and status, while Docs can turn repeat answers into articles for customers and agents.

Core capabilities

Start by connecting a support email channel or form. HelpSpace describes email and form requests flowing into its shared inbox, where tickets can be assigned, tagged and filtered by status, team or agent. Instagram messages are mentioned as beta; check their current availability before planning around them.

Create teams and rules for routine routing, then give each ticket an accountable agent. A useful sample is an inquiry that needs a specialist: follow the routing, assignment and status changes to see whether it stays visible to the right people.

Open a ticket to see the sender, earlier conversations and related tasks. The ticket page also describes an external-data sidebar; verify any desired integration separately before treating the sidebar as a complete customer record.

When an answer exists, agents can search the Docs knowledge base from the ticket reply flow and share an article. Canned replies and scheduled messages are also described; review a sample reply before sending it, especially when an article or template is reused.

A ticket that needs action outside the inbox can become a linked task. Boards show customizable status, and task records can carry an assignee, due date, priority and subtasks. Multiple customer tickets can point to one task, which may help a team track a shared issue without losing each conversation.

Build Docs articles for repeat questions, then expose them through a help center or embed them in the HelpSpace widget. The widget also accepts tickets, including attachments and prefilled fields, with display and language controls. Test the visitor journey on the actual site or app before relying on self-service.

Contact pages collect details and ticket history, and new ticket senders can be added as contacts automatically. Organizations group contacts and related tickets, which can help a B2B team recognize that several people are asking about the same account.

Reports show ticket volume by channel, tags, response and closure activity, and customer satisfaction measures. Use them to inspect workload and recurring topics, while checking that the team records statuses and tags consistently before drawing conclusions.

HelpSpace labels its AI features beta. Its current page describes conversation summaries, writing improvement, reply drafts and translation, with an agent able to review and edit a draft before sending. Treat the output as assistance and check the selected plan, language and data-handling terms before use.

Pricing and getting started

Starter is shown for two to five users, with two email channels, one Docs site and two task boards. Team is shown for two to fifteen users and raises those allowances to four, three and four; it also lists multilingual and versioned Docs. Size the plan against actual support inboxes and help sites, not only the agent count.

Business starts at five users with no listed upper limit and raises the included allowances to ten email channels, five Docs sites and ten task boards. The card also lists custom fields, single sign-on and AI features. Confirm those rights in the selected contract before rollout.

The public page displays $12, $20 and $40 per-user-month cards, but its static capture repeats those cards beneath Annual and Monthly labels. The selected term and total cannot be resolved from that capture. Verify the live checkout or quote for currency, billing period, minimum seats and total before budgeting.

The vendor advertises a 15-day trial without payment details or automatic renewal. It says an unused trial later ends and the account is deleted after a period. VAT and local taxes are excluded from listed amounts, and extra channels, boards or Docs sites have separate monthly charges.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

Test one fictional request from its entry channel through assignment, agent reply, linked internal task and closure. That checks whether the team can see both the customer conversation and the work needed to resolve it without using real customer data.

Before publishing Docs or the widget, try one common question and one issue that needs a ticket. Check search, article wording, attachments, prefilled fields and the support address shown to visitors so the self-service path does not hide a request.

For an account with several contacts, verify how new senders become contacts and how organizations group their histories. Review access and naming conventions before bringing in real customer records; the vendor page describes grouping but does not establish a buyer’s privacy policy.

Confirm the actual plan and invoice total before committing. Agent minimums, channel limits, Docs sites and task boards vary, add-ons cost extra, and the captured pricing page does not establish which amount applies to each billing term.

If beta AI is useful, test it with harmless text and human review, then verify Business eligibility, language behavior and data terms directly. The vendor makes hosting and GDPR claims, but a public feature page alone is not an independent compliance assessment.
