Find your fit
Who it is for
A support team can route a new question into a common mailbox, assign a specialist, discuss a draft privately and check for a reply collision before sending. Pilot a few fictional threads to see whether ownership and status stay clear across shifts.
Sales or operations teams sharing an address can use customer and company history, labels, saved replies and reminders to track follow-up. The value depends on teammates using the shared queue consistently rather than returning to separate copies of the conversation.
A team wanting web chat or self-service can connect the widget and a public or internal knowledge base to its inbox work. Plan for the number of sites and article owners before assuming those channels can serve every brand or location.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
Create separate queues for support, sales or billing addresses and assign each conversation to a person or team. Due dates, to-dos and visible status give the next owner a practical place to start without adding internal recipients to the customer thread.
Leave internal notes on the conversation to ask for context or agree on an answer; mailbox members can see them, while customers do not receive them. Reply collision alerts flag another teammate viewing or replying, so check that activity before sending.
Workflow rules can route, label, assign, notify and schedule follow-up from message and customer conditions. Saved replies provide a reusable starting answer that a teammate can edit, so test the final review step as well as the routing rule.
Contact and company profiles collect prior messages, notes, labels, files and activity. Search and focused inbox views help find an earlier issue or filter assigned, open, waiting and labeled conversations when the queue becomes busy.
Each mailbox has its own Helpmonks address, and the docs describe forwarding from an existing public address. Microsoft-hosted mailboxes also have an OAuth connection; validate the chosen provider, sending identity and reply continuity with a safe sample before switching live mail.
The live chat widget can be placed on websites and tied to knowledge-base answers. Public or internal knowledge sites can provide articles that a teammate inserts into a chat or email reply; check each site allowance on the selected plan.
Optional AI assistance can summarize a thread or help draft and revise a reply, with a person reviewing before it is sent. Its monthly conversation allowance is plan-based; automated classification and routing are separate from the included assistance.

Pricing and getting started
The public page displays Team at $49/month, Business at $99, Business+ at $249 and Scale at $499. It does not settle the currency in captured text. All plans list unlimited users and conversations, while inbox count rises from 3 to 10, 40 and 500.
Additional shared queues are priced separately: $15 per month on Team and $10 on Business and above according to the current page. Multiple aliases feeding the same queue do not count as separate inboxes. Confirm how many actual queues the rollout needs and the currency of the written bill.
Live-chat and knowledge-base sites increase from one each on Team to 5, 15 and 50 on higher plans. Campaign recipients, active sequences and included AI-assisted conversations also have plan limits; unlimited stored contacts do not mean unlimited recipients per campaign.
Campaign and sequence delivery can connect a custom SMTP server on every plan; Helpmonks-managed marketing SMTP is included starting at Business+. Ordinary shared-inbox conversations and replies do not require that separate marketing SMTP setup.
The vendor advertises a 30-day trial. Monthly billing is standard, while annual payment is arranged with sales and currently has no discount. Confirm the trial exit, currency, add-ons and any dedicated-hosting quote before committing.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
Start a pilot with one shared address and fictional messages: connect or forward it, assign a request, add an internal note, hand it to another teammate and reply. Confirm that sender identity, conversation history and ownership survive each step before moving real customer mail.
Map the real number of support, sales and billing queues, aliases, chat sites and help centers to the plan grid. Then test one campaign only in a safe environment if outreach matters, because its SMTP path and recipient limit differ from normal customer replies.
If AI is part of the evaluation, test an editable summary and draft while a teammate remains responsible for the outgoing message. Count the expected assisted conversations and price separate triage only if automatic classification or routing is genuinely needed.
