Groove Classic

What it does

Groove Classic is a shared-inbox help desk for small teams. Customer email arrives as conversations that teammates can assign and answer together; the same product also offers live chat and a customer knowledge base. It remains a separate offering from Helply, the company’s newer platform.

Who it is for

The strongest fit is a small support team that wants to share one or several customer addresses without losing track of ownership. The vendor describes a simple path from a support inbox to assigned conversations, with private notes and mentions when another teammate needs context.

Teams can connect Gmail or forward another address into Groove. If they support several products or departments, they can create multiple inboxes and grant teammates access to the relevant ones. Confirm the selected plan’s channel allowance before mapping every address.

Pricing and getting started

Groove Classic offers Standard, Plus and Pro per-seat plans with monthly or annual billing. Its current pricing FAQ describes included channel counts of two, five and 25 respectively; extra channels can add charges. Check the chosen mix of inbox, live-chat and social channels before comparing totals.

The Classic page offers a free trial without a credit card. Public pages display dollar prices but do not label their currency in the captured text, so confirm the currency, current rate, seat count and billing term before purchasing.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

Assigning and answering. Decide which team owns each address, then check how an incoming conversation gets assigned and when private notes or mentions should bring another person in. Saved replies, rules and snooze are available for repeat work, but their exact use should follow your team’s routing policy.

Knowledge reuse. Draft a small set of recurring answers, decide who reviews them, and publish only customer-safe information. Published article links can be inserted into replies; draft articles should remain internal until reviewed.

Website setup. Groove’s chat and self-service entry point use its website widget. Plan for installing it on the pages where customers need help and confirm the availability and channel limits for the purchased plan.

Reporting. Classic lists volume, response and resolution trends, team performance and knowledge-base analytics. Evaluate the metrics in a trial against your own service definitions rather than assuming the vendor’s labels match your existing reports.

Product identity. Groove Classic and Helply are separate offerings from the same team. Check that a signup, quote or integration document names Groove Classic before treating a Helply feature or price as part of this listing.

Research scope. This profile is based on current official public pages. No Groove account, connected inbox, chat session, article publication, trial signup or checkout was tested.
