GorillaDesk

What it does

GorillaDesk brings customer records, scheduling, field jobs, estimates, invoices and payments into one field-service system. Its site focuses on pest control, lawn care and pool service businesses. These are vendor-described capabilities, not a tested deployment.

A business can schedule a visit, give a technician job details in the mobile app, record work and materials, then send an invoice. Recurring appointments and billing can support repeat visits. Confirm that the selected plan supports each step in the business's workflow.

Who it is for

A solo operator or crew-based team can size GorillaDesk by independent schedules. The vendor says a technician working independently needs a schedule, while people travelling together can use a crew leader's schedule; only users assigned a schedule need a paid seat. Test that rule against actual shifts and routes before buying.

Pest, lawn and pool businesses with repeat visits may find the calendar, customer history and material records useful. Customer self-service, some tracking and multi-branch tools sit in higher tiers, so compare the plan matrix with the operation's specific needs.

The work it supports

Core capabilities

GorillaDesk lets staff schedule jobs from the office or field and manage recurring visits and changes on its calendar. GorillaDesk's current pricing page says Basic routing handles 25 stops at a time, while its Academy says 24 jobs at a time; confirm the operational batch size with GorillaDesk for the plan offered. Pro adds street-route and drive-time tools. Test a busy route and the staff access rules before relying on dispatch automation.

Staff can create and send invoices, including from the mobile app. Templates, batch sends, recurring invoices and reminders are described on the invoicing page. Distinguish recurring invoice generation from Pro's separate Stripe or Square customer subscription billing, and test taxes and accounting sync.

GorillaDesk supports customer payments through Stripe and Square connections, including invoice payment links and Square hardware in the field. Confirm processor eligibility, merchant fees, settlement and authority for stored or repeated charges in the operating region. An invoice or payment request is not proof of settlement.

Pricing and getting started

The pricing page shows Basic, Pro and Growth with a route-count selector and monthly or yearly billing. Its displayed one-route price is an illustration, not a quote for every team. GorillaDesk offers a 14-day general trial without a credit card; confirm the intended paid plan, currency, route count, taxes and processing charges before subscribing.

The pricing FAQ says monthly subscriptions can be cancelled without penalty, annual subscriptions are billed for the year at the start, and downgrades take effect at the end of a billing cycle. Confirm renewal and cancellation terms in the agreement the business actually receives.

Before you choose

Estimates can be created on site or from customer records, sent and tracked for acceptance. The pricing matrix places customer portal access and e-signatures in Pro; Growth adds dynamic estimate packages and a sales pipeline. Check those tier boundaries before using them in the sales process.

Technicians can use the mobile app for schedules, job notes and attachments, estimates and invoices. Material tracking can record chemicals or other products applied on site. Digital documents and e-signatures are listed under Pro, and the public pages do not establish offline behavior; test both in the intended plan and devices.

Text messaging has a separate monthly SMS subscription and outgoing credit packs on the pricing page. Price reminder and broadcast volume rather than treating automated SMS in a plan list as unlimited.

GorillaDesk says its team can import contact information, service and billing addresses, notes and a starting balance, but not complete past service or billing history. Plan where older records will remain accessible and reconcile opening balances before a switch.

Pilot a full route: create a customer and estimate, schedule a recurring job, dispatch a technician, record notes and materials, invoice, and request a test payment. Use actual crew arrangements to check paid schedules and tier access. This is a buyer test plan, not an outcome verified here.

If online booking, recurring card charges, QuickBooks Online sync, document signatures or multi-branch reporting are essential, check Pro and Growth entitlements with the vendor. Confirm regional processor access and total messaging costs. The public pages do not prove a time saving, revenue gain or payment result for any business.

If chemical-use records matter to the business, test a representative Material Use report before relying on it for record keeping. GorillaDesk says application data can be exported as CSV or Excel or printed, with reports segmented by date range, county or individual job. Check the required fields, historical span and access while the account is active; the public page does not prove a regulatory outcome or a complete off-platform archive.

If your team uses Google Calendar alongside GorillaDesk, test a representative job and schedule change before relying on the integration for dispatch. GorillaDesk describes one-way sync from GorillaDesk to Google Calendar. Plan scheduling changes in GorillaDesk and check what appears in Google Calendar; confirm the timing and exact behavior for your workflow. The public description does not establish a return path for edits made in Google Calendar.

Before changing a recurring service, check both its job schedule and invoice date. GorillaDesk's training says a job can be billed on a different cadence than it is serviced, and recurring invoices generate and email again at the chosen date and interval. Its feature list separately describes cards on file through Stripe or Square and Pro subscription billing for recurring-service autopay. Confirm the current plan, whether automated billing is enabled, and how to stop the next invoice or charge with GorillaDesk. No account action or payment was tested here.

Test a booking from the website widget, customer portal or email/SMS link through the office queue before treating it as a scheduled route stop. GorillaDesk says new online bookings remain pending until a user confirms them; staff can review the Online Booking report and promote confirmed jobs to the calendar. Its current page lists Online Booking for Pro users as an add-on and offers an optional Card Payment Required setting before booking completion. Confirm current add-on terms, payment authorization and processor access; no booking or payment was tested here.

Before sending real GorillaDesk paperwork after a chemical application, preview a harmless invoice, work order and Customer Portal invoice. GorillaDesk says chemical-use details appear on invoices and work orders unless the business chooses otherwise, and customers can revisit invoices in the portal. Check which material fields are shown and how the business controls that display before customer delivery. No customer record or delivery was tested.

For a customer with several addresses, GorillaDesk's Multiple Locations training covers location-level contacts and billing email choices. For an apartment building or commercial property with several units at one address, its Multi-Dwelling Unit training describes building and unit management, unit-level paperwork and a simplified activity report for owners or managers. In a fictional property pilot, compare two addresses with two units at one building, then inspect the unit information on paperwork and the owner report. GorillaDesk lists Multi-Unit Buildings as Pro; confirm the quoted feature and add-on terms.

Before rescheduling a recurring GorillaDesk job, have the dispatcher distinguish 'move this job only' from 'move this job and all future jobs.' The vendor's scheduling page describes both choices, drag-and-drop calendar changes and cloud-synced team schedules. In a harmless sample series, compare the moved visit with later dates and assigned staff, then check how the customer and technician are actually notified. Confirm the option and notification setup in the quoted plan; a changed calendar does not by itself prove a message was sent.

Before correcting an invoice for a completed recurring GorillaDesk job, check the next recurring invoice separately. GorillaDesk's billing lesson says invoice changes or adjustments made after the job is completed do not carry into that next invoice. Verify the next invoice's intended details before customer delivery; the public lesson does not explain every account's editing controls. No job or invoice was changed for this review.

For a new recurring GorillaDesk invoice arrangement, inspect the first invoice separately from later cycles. GorillaDesk's billing lesson says the configured Invoice Date applies to the next invoice after the initial one is created and describes manually adding payment to the initial invoice; later invoices follow the selected date and frequency for email sending. Check the first invoice's status and the next invoice date before sending real bills. This public explanation does not establish automatic card charging or actual delivery for a particular account.

Before inviting customers to GorillaDesk's Pro Customer Portal, choose the portal URL carefully: the vendor says it cannot be changed after saving. Portal Access Settings can show or hide Manage Payment Options, Invoices, Estimates and Documents; an optional contact form routes submissions to the company email and Inbound Leads report. A website embed is optional because outgoing emails can offer a Manage Portal button. In a fictional customer preview, check the visible sections and office routing for the intended account. The public guide does not establish per-document permissions, actual email delivery or payment authority.
