GetResponse

What it does

GetResponse combines newsletter creation, subscriber segmentation and automated email follow-ups. A marketer can prepare a list, design an email, choose recipients, review its subject and sender details, then send it or schedule it where the plan allows. Saved audience segments and automated journeys support more targeted follow-ups.

Who it is for

A small team starting with regular newsletters can use the Free account to build a list and send messages within its monthly and contact caps. Teams planning scheduled sends or active automated journeys should evaluate a paid plan after the introductory premium period.

Marketers with subscriber groups can save conditions as dynamic segments. The editor offers templates without coding and an HTML route for teams with their own email design.

Pricing and getting started

GetResponse offers an ongoing, no-card Free account with up to 500 contacts and 2,500 newsletters per month. It gives new Free accounts 14 days of premium access. After that, newsletters remain available, but scheduling and active automation workflows require an upgrade; the Free messages carry a GetResponse badge.

The current paid lineup includes Starter, Marketer and Creator. Starter includes unlimited newsletter sends and one custom automation workflow; Marketer adds unlimited workflows and advanced audience segmentation. Confirm the exact entitlement for the intended contact count and billing term.

GetResponse ties paid pricing to list size, including contacts added during the billing month, and counts the same address separately when it appears on different lists. Check list structure and the checkout total before moving a large audience.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

The newsletter setup guide covers list, From and reply-to addresses, subject, preview text, recipient choice and design. Send a proof to a controlled test list before a campaign; scheduling is a premium feature after the first 14 days of a Free account.

Segments update as contacts meet saved conditions. GetResponse is gradually rolling out a newer segmentation screen to existing accounts, so check which editor and conditions are present in your account before recreating a targeting rule.

A welcome journey is a useful first automation to test. Map entry conditions and actions, then confirm the paid tier needed to keep the workflow running after trial access ends.
