Find your fit
Who it is for
Starter is aimed at an IT desk needing incident records, agent tasks, a support portal and knowledge management. Its scope is narrower than the full Freshservice feature list.
Growth adds a service catalog, SLA and on-call management. Pro adds problem and change management, major incident management and release management. Enterprise adds controls such as sandbox and audit logs. Compare those boundaries with the actual workflow and quote.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
Freshservice supports incident management: agents can record employee issues, assign tasks and keep the work in a service-desk ticket. Starter lists incident and task management; ticket routing and channel setup should be tested with the team's own rules.
On Growth and higher plans, teams can offer employees a service catalog of requestable services. The catalog page describes categories and form fields, but an organization must configure its own request items and approval paths.
On Pro and higher plans, change management lets teams document a proposed change and coordinate review. Freshworks describes impact, rollout and backout planning, approvals and linking related incidents; test the exact approval flow before relying on it.

Pricing and getting started
Freshworks offers a 14-day Freshservice trial. On the captured pricing page, Starter was displayed at $19, Growth at $49 and Pro at $99 per agent per month when billed annually; Enterprise required a quote. Confirm currency, tax, term, agent count and current checkout price. The trial's broad access does not establish what remains in a lower paid tier.
Freshworks distinguishes full-time agents from occasional agents using Day Passes. Price part-time approvers or specialists deliberately rather than assuming that every participant needs the same full-time subscription.
IT asset management uses Asset Units and has separate levels and possible extra charges. The ITSM pricing matrix lists Freddy AI Agent Classic and Freddy AI Insights with Enterprise, while Freddy AI Copilot is a priced add-on. Confirm asset allowances, AI limits and the written quote before purchase.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
Map the team's actual processes—incidents, employee requests, change approvals, knowledge articles, on-call coverage and asset records—to the chosen plan. A platform feature list alone does not establish a plan entitlement.
Pilot one incident, one service request and one change with representative roles. Check who can see each record, who approves the change, and whether the forms, notifications and asset links fit the existing process.
Confirm ITAM and AI data scope before importing assets or enabling an assistant. This profile uses vendor documentation; no account-level ticket routing, SLA, asset discovery, AI, integration or customer-outcome test was performed.
