Flodesk

What it does

Flodesk is an email marketing platform for small businesses that want to grow a subscriber list, prepare visually designed emails, send or schedule newsletters, and follow up through workflows. Forms and audience segments help route signups toward the right messages. This listing covers the Flodesk sending account; Flodesk Studio is a separate design app that can pass a draft into that account.

Who it is for

A solo creator or small business can collect opted-in contacts with a form, group them by source or interest, choose a template or start from scratch, and send a one-off announcement to the selected audience. The Emails dashboard shows recipients, opens and clicks after sending.

Teams nurturing a new signup can trigger a workflow from a form or segment, insert an email and delay, then branch on subscriber conditions. Purchase and abandoned-cart triggers depend on Flodesk Checkout or connected stores; confirm the selected plan before building a commerce path.

Pricing and getting started

The ongoing Free plan keeps forms, landing pages and subscriber growth tools, but does not send email or run workflows. A no-card trial opens paid features for evaluation; trial sending is limited to 500 recipients per day. If the trial expires without a paid plan, email sending and workflows stop while forms can continue collecting contacts.

At up to 1,000 active subscribers, the current USD monthly examples are Lite $25, Pro $28 and Everything $54; annual billing shows lower effective monthly amounts, as checked October 15, 2026. Paid plans include unlimited sends, while list size sets the price tier. Lite advertises one workflow as a limited-time bonus and a 25,000-subscriber maximum; Pro lists unlimited workflows. Confirm the current offer and checkout total.

Flodesk counts active subscribers for tier limits and sends notices as a list approaches its cap. Monthly-plan increases start at the next billing date; annual-plan increases can be charged monthly on a prorated basis. Subscriber growth can trigger an annual-plan charge even after cancellation is scheduled. Legacy flat-rate unlimited subscriptions were retired for new members in December 2025.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

Start with the right audience: connect each opt-in form to a useful segment, confirm consent before importing an older list, and preview recipient selection before sending. Segment membership can change through forms, workflow actions, purchases or email interactions.

Plan workflow triggers around the desired event. Form and segment triggers are central to email follow-up; purchase or abandoned-cart triggers require the relevant Checkout or store connection. Review the Lite one-workflow bonus and Pro entitlement before publishing a longer sequence.

Check sender-domain authentication before a paid send, and monitor open and click results afterward. Flodesk sends its own marketing campaigns; it does not provide SMTP relay or transactional sending for another application.

Flodesk Studio is a separate app currently free during beta, with future pricing unset. Its AI design features are not included as built-in features of this sending profile.

If leaving a paid subscription, check the cancellation date and stop unwanted subscriber growth; an annual account can still receive a prorated tier charge before cancellation takes effect.

Research scope. Current official public pages were checked October 15, 2026. No account, import, domain authentication, send, workflow, trial signup or checkout was tested.
