Find your fit
Who it is for
It fits small retail and food-service operations that need counter sales and basic back-office tools. The appropriate plan depends on transaction volume, number of registers, restaurant or online-ordering features and whether the merchant uses eHopper's processing offer.
A buyer with existing Windows or Android hardware should check the exact terminal, printer, drawer and scanner combination first. eHopper also sells hardware separately, so the software subscription is only part of a complete checkout budget.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
The register can place, save and update orders, process cash or configured card payments, and print or email receipts. Staff can apply taxes, tips and customer information to a sale. Test the checkout path with the intended processor and receipt printer before a store opens on it.
Food-service workflows include dine-in, take-out, drive-through and delivery order types, and restaurant plans advertise table management or a kitchen display system. Confirm which of those screens and printer routes the chosen plan and device support.
eHopper describes offline cash sales, refunds, discounts and order edits, but says offline operations exclude credit-card work. A merchant needs an internet outage procedure for card tender rather than assuming all payments continue offline.
Back-office product records can hold prices, quantities and modifiers. Inventory adjustments keep counts aligned as stock arrives, while the reporting dashboard shows sales and transactions. Pilot a few products and a receiving adjustment to check how staff will reconcile physical stock.
Cash-management tools record opening and closing amounts, pay-ins, payouts and denominations. Item or whole-order refunds and voids need staff permission and a clear end-of-day reconciliation process.
Supported device families include Windows PCs/tablets, Android tablets and certain POS terminals, while dedicated printers, drawers and payment devices are available separately. Validate a complete register bundle, including connection type and card integration, before buying hardware.

Pricing and getting started
Essential Plus is the lower-volume plan: the current page lists one license, up to 1,000 products and 1,000 transactions a month. It displays $14.99 month-to-month and a promotional annual amount billed $120 for a year, equivalent to $10 per month. Verify the checkout currency, promotion expiry, tax and whether the limits fit actual sales.
Freedom, Restaurant and OmniChannel advertise unlimited products and transactions and charge per software license. Restaurant adds table/KDS scope; OmniChannel adds online ordering. Count every register and check any feature-specific fee rather than treating one advertised monthly amount as a whole-store price.
The separate 'free POS' offer is tied to signing up for eHopper card processing and is expressly limited to US merchants. The pricing comparison also mentions external providers for some plans. Ask for the full processing terms and supported terminal list before comparing a free-software offer with a paid software plan.
The pricing page invites a no-payment test drive and separately advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee. Those are different offers, and the page does not establish every trial-data or refund condition in the captured text. Hardware and some apps, such as prepaid/gift cards, can add cost.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
Set up a pilot with a realistic product catalog, one register, a cash sale, a card sale, an inventory adjustment, a refund and an end-of-day close. Confirm the receipt route, customer record and reports against the store's existing reconciliation process.
Write down the full cost before purchase: number of software licenses, plan term, processing provider and rate, terminal and peripheral costs, and any selected app charges. Treat 'free processing' and limited-time hardware promotions as offers whose actual conditions require review.
Plan for internet loss explicitly. Cash-oriented POS tasks may continue offline, while card operations are excluded in the vendor's offline description. Test the actual store connection and backup tender procedure before relying on the register.
