Find your fit
Who it is for
The vendor positions Effy AI for organizations of roughly 30 to 1,000 employees that want a dedicated review process alongside an existing HR system. It also offers a free path for teams of up to five users. A small team can use that path to check the workflow; a larger HR team should map the cycle count and participant roles before pricing seats.
It fits HR teams replacing review forms, spreadsheets and manual reminder chasing with a structured cycle. Its named use cases include 360, peer, upward, self-assessment, annual and probation reviews; decide which combination matters before building a pilot form.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
Start by choosing a review type and participants. Effy AI can generate questions by role, while HR can edit them and use custom rating scales or open responses. Check the wording and criteria with a sample role before sending a real cycle; generated questions are an editable starting point.
The product distributes the forms and follows up with outstanding reviewers. Its 360 page describes email and Slack reminders, plus a response view that lets an organizer see progress and adjust timelines. This removes routine chasing from the organizer, though the actual feedback still comes from reviewers.
During completion, the vendor describes AI prompts that ask for more context after a rating and flag vague written responses. That can help collect more specific examples, but the organization should check the prompts against its review policy and test whether they suit its roles.
When responses are in, Effy AI drafts a narrative summary of themes, strengths and development areas across reviewers. Treat this as material for a manager and HR lead to read and discuss, especially where comments disagree, rather than an automatic performance decision.
Visibility can be configured by review type. The 360 page describes peer feedback that can be anonymous while manager ratings remain visible. Set and test the audience for each response category before launch, particularly in small groups where wording itself may reveal the reviewer.
Reports can be exported as PDFs and underlying review data as CSV, according to the 360 page. The page also advertises organization-wide reporting. Confirm the fields, visibility and recipients with a fictional pilot before moving sensitive historical reviews into the service.
If the team works in Slack, Effy AI can send review requests and reminders there and import a people list. Test the identity mapping and notification wording with a small internal group before treating Slack as the default delivery route.
Goals and OKRs are a separate adjacent workflow: company goals can cascade to teams and individuals, and progress can be measured or rolled up from child goals. The vendor says individual goals and progress can be included in review forms, which gives reviewers achievement context during a cycle.
The vendor says historical reviews can be archived or exported and deletion policies set. Ask which roles can run those actions, what a CSV contains, and how a departed employee’s record is handled before storing long-lived review history.

Pricing and getting started
The current pricing page advertises free 360 reviews for up to five users, without a card or time limit. For a larger team, its 360 Reviews card shows $3 per seat per month billed annually for one review per user per year and $6 per seat per month for multiple reviews per user per year. Confirm the current currency, tax, participant counting and annual total at checkout.
Goals and OKRs have a separate displayed $2 per seat per month annual-billed card. Do not assume this module is included with the 360 Reviews amount; confirm the combined subscription if both workflows are needed.
The FAQ offers a pay-per-cycle option, but gives no public amount. It also says there are no minimums, contracts or implementation fees and describes prorated seat changes. Obtain a written quote or checkout breakdown for a one-off cycle or changing team size.
One pricing inconsistency deserves a direct check: the FAQ calls review cycles unlimited, while the cards distinguish one review per user per year from multiple reviews. Ask Effy AI which limit applies to the chosen paid offer before budgeting a second cycle.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
Before launch, build a fictional review covering manager, peer and self responses. Verify the questions, reminder channels, anonymity settings and final report visibility. Those choices matter more than the advertised speed of setup when the data concerns employee performance.
AI-generated questions and summaries need human review. Check role-specific question quality, whether follow-up nudges are appropriate, and how summaries handle divergent feedback before sharing results with employees or managers.
If goals are part of the process, check both the separate module price and which goals enter the review. A stand-alone review buyer should not budget from the Goals and OKRs card, and a goals buyer should confirm the combined price and permissions.
Plan an exit test early. The vendor advertises PDF and CSV exports and historical archiving, but the page alone does not establish the completeness of an export or how deletion works in a given organization. Use a harmless sample and retain its expected fields as a checklist.
