Crelate

What it does

Crelate joins candidate sourcing, applicant tracking and recruiting CRM in one platform. The core workflow starts with a shared candidate record, carries that person through a configurable job pipeline, and can bring a client or hiring manager into selected decisions through a portal. It also supports the business-development side of an agency desk.

Find your fit

Who it is for

The vendor addresses executive search, staffing and in-house hiring teams. Agencies with both client sales and candidate delivery have a particular reason to assess the shared CRM and ATS; an internal team should check whether it needs those sales-opportunity tools.

Firms running confidential or client-specific searches should test the portal’s field visibility, per-person access and simplified client stage view before showing real candidates. External reviewers do not need a full Crelate seat, but portal features and branding are plan-dependent.

The work it supports

Core capabilities

Candidate resumes, notes, communications, submissions and interview feedback travel together on a shared record. This can give recruiters a fuller history before contacting someone again; test a sample record to see how your team’s older notes and attachments appear after import.

Stages, required fields and workflows can be set by job type or client. Board, grid and list views give recruiters different ways to work the same pipeline. Agree a small set of stage meanings before loading many active searches, so reports and client views are understandable.

The client or hiring-manager portal shows selected submitted candidates and collects feedback back onto the recruiting record. Access can be scoped per person and search, and fields can be hidden. Preview a harmless candidate with the exact reviewer permissions before sharing real applicant information.

The CRM tracks companies, contacts, outreach and sales opportunities alongside candidate work. An agency can assign stages, values and close dates to a prospective deal, then compare that pipeline with placement activity. Decide who owns a client account and which actions create a job.

The vendor describes reporting on pipeline movement, submission ratios, activity and placements from the same working records. Custom dashboards are promoted, but report scope differs across plan cards; evaluate a few representative searches and current data quality before treating a dashboard as a complete performance measure.

Crelate describes importing candidate, contact, job, note and attachment data with duplicate detection. That is a workflow to test carefully: pick a small sample with linked history and verify the result before committing to a full transfer.

After placement, Crelate can hand data to an existing back-office or payroll system. Its own Deliver and partner options are presented separately from the core ATS; ask how timesheets, billing and payroll actually flow in the proposed configuration.

Pricing and getting started

The current top pricing cards show Essentials at $85 per user per month paid annually, capped at two users and 20,000 contacts, and Business at $119 per user per month with annual or monthly billing. Business lists AI Assistant, client/team portals, reporting and email connections. Confirm currency, taxes, billing period, usage and contact limits in a current quote.

Business Plus is custom-priced per user with annual payment and lists advanced AI, business-development workflows, sequences, API access and integrations. Platform is custom-priced by user or site license with optional agents, MCP and webhooks. Scope these features against actual workflow needs before choosing a tier.

The page’s lower comparison grid uses Business, Business Plus and Enterprise headings, while the current cards above it use Essentials, Business, Business Plus and Platform. Treat detailed grid limits as a sales-confirmation point instead of mapping them silently to the card tiers.

AI scope needs particular care. The vendor says Essentials has AI sourcing/support, Business adds AI Assistant and Business Plus adds Advanced AI Assistant. One candidate page also calls Insights Agent included on every plan, while the pricing card lists Insights Agents as à la carte. Ask for exact agent access, credits and data controls in writing.

Data Sync is priced by volume and frequency, and Crelate Hire onboarding/compliance is priced per hire. These are separate from the base recruiting seat; request the expected integration directions, onboarding volume and total recurring charges in one proposal.

Migration pricing is scoped to source systems and data complexity, with a Standard single-source path and an Advanced path for complex or multiple sources. The vendor describes a test migration and sample approval before live import; specify which history, custom fields and attachments will transfer, and who owns export cleanup.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

Use synthetic candidate and client data to walk one search: import a record, configure job stages, move the candidate through a submission, then inspect the external portal and feedback from a reviewer account. Compare the shared history and report output with the intended process.

Before moving from an older ATS, ask for a written field and attachment map. Review a test sample of people, companies, jobs, activities and files, including deduplication decisions, before approving any live migration.

If staffing operations extend through onboarding, timekeeping and payroll, separate the core ATS quote from Crelate Hire, Data Sync, Deliver and partner services. Confirm who handles each handoff and what is separately billed.
