CoSchedule

What it does

CoSchedule puts social post planning, publishing, conversations and reporting around a shared calendar. A marketer can schedule messages for connected profiles, use ReQueue to fill open slots with selected evergreen posts, then review engagement and reply to supported inbox items. Teams on higher plans can add an approval step before publication.

Find your fit

Who it is for

Starter suits a solo marketer who wants calendar scheduling, reports, ReQueue and a Facebook/Instagram inbox. Professional adds another included seat and profiles, social post approval, broader Inbox coverage and client calendars; agencies should check whether those features match their workflow.

Suite is for broader content and team coordination, with custom plan terms and more permissions. A person managing one profile can compare the Free tier, keeping its 15-message queue cap and missing analytics or ReQueue in mind.

Core capabilities

Publishing. Write and schedule social messages on a calendar for connected profiles, with posting options that depend on the network. Moving a campaign can move its related schedule.

Social Inbox. Reply to supported comments, mentions, replies and direct messages from one work area. Starter covers Facebook and Instagram; Professional and Suite add more networks, with interaction-level restrictions.

Analytics. Compare engagement for social messages and audience activity across supported profiles. Paid plans can export or schedule reports.

Pricing and getting started

CoSchedule has a Free tier with one social profile and up to 15 scheduled messages at a time. Starter and Professional offer 14-day trials; the support guide says a payment card is required and the chosen plan charges automatically at trial end unless cancelled. Suite starts with a demo rather than a self-serve trial.

The public pricing table shows Starter at $29 USD per month when billed annually or $39 when billed monthly, and Professional at $49 or $59 respectively. Suite pricing is custom, advertised from $69 per month. Starter includes one user and three social profiles; Professional includes two users and five profiles. Extra profiles and X coverage affect the total, so check the current checkout or quote.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

ReQueue repurposes messages you place in evergreen groups to fill schedule gaps. It plans the current and next week, and will not automatically skip holidays or guarantee an exact send time for a specific message. Schedule time-sensitive posts yourself and revisit the group content regularly.

Social approvals hold a message for teammate or client sign-off on Professional and Suite. If approval is still pending when the scheduled time arrives, publication can fail after retries; the vendor says to reschedule a failed message once approval is complete.

Inbox coverage is narrower than publishing coverage. Starter supports Facebook and Instagram; Professional and Suite add LinkedIn Pages, Google Business Profile, X, YouTube, Bluesky, Mastodon and Threads. TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn personal profiles and Facebook Groups are not in the Inbox. Check the precise interaction your team needs.

The Inbox begins collecting conversations when it is enabled; older items are not backfilled. Turning it off removes stored items. Plan the enablement and record retention around any existing support workflow.

The Free plan omits social analytics, CSV bulk scheduling and ReQueue. To keep Free after a trial, cancel before the trial ends, return to its account limits, then use the owner account to switch. The free calendar can also be deleted after four months without a sign-in, following vendor notices.

SoftwareExplained has not connected a profile, sent a post, used ReQueue, approved a message, replied from the Inbox, generated a report or completed checkout. These are public-source findings checked 15 October 2026; verify current network permissions and final billing for your own account.
