Find your fit
Who it is for
A small business sending regular updates can begin with lists that reflect subscriber interests, then send campaigns to the people who asked for each topic. Keep the signup permission and list naming clear before importing a larger audience.
A team running several campaigns can use segments that evaluate contact criteria at send time. That helps target the current audience, but the final group can differ from a count reviewed earlier. Check the segment results before scheduling.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
Email campaigns. Create a campaign, choose the contacts and send or schedule it. The vendor documents a custom-code campaign path in its V3 API; check the editor path you intend to use.
Audience segmentation. Build a segment from contact criteria and select it for an email campaign. Review the resulting audience before the campaign goes out.
Email automation. Build a trigger-based sequence that can send a welcome message to a new contact. The vendor also describes automation from segment membership; check which triggers and editing tools are available in the selected plan.

Pricing and getting started
Constant Contact describes Lite, Standard and Premium plans, with pricing that depends on contact count. The vendor says prices outside the United States vary; check the current plan and contact tier shown to your account for a quote.
New users can start a free trial of Constant Contact through the vendor's Canva Apps Marketplace path. The cited page does not state a trial length, and the offer displayed during signup should be checked for the buyer's region.
The vendor describes a monthly email send allowance tied to both the selected plan and contact tier, with 10x, 12x or 24x multipliers. It states a $0.002 fee per send above the allowance, without labeling the currency in that community article. Automated messages such as welcome sequences are excluded from that calculation.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
List or segment? A list groups contacts around an established interest; a segment selects contacts who currently meet criteria. Test which audience is selected and avoid assuming a static list and a dynamic segment will always contain the same people.
Email automation can send a series of follow-ups, including a welcome message. Its trigger rules matter: the vendor documents cases in which adding a contact through bulk import does not send a welcome email. Run a test through the actual form or import path before relying on a sequence.
Campaign reports expose contact interaction statistics. Opens and clicks are useful activity measures but do not by themselves establish inbox placement, reading or sales; the public documentation does not show how a particular account will perform.
Plan depth differs. The vendor describes more scheduling and segment capability in Standard and custom automations in Premium. Check the current comparison for the selected tier before designing a workflow around a higher-plan feature.
The cited official pages establish product functions and published terms, but SoftwareExplained has not operated an account, sent a campaign, verified a regional checkout total or tested deliverability. Confirm the account terms and run one list-to-report test before moving an established mailing list.
