Find your fit
Who it is for
It fits sales teams that make frequent calls and need a shared account of who contacted whom, what was said and what needs attention next. A solo seller can start with the core CRM; a team seeking automated sequences must compare the higher plans.
Buyers should assess whether Close is the daily workspace for outreach and pipeline follow-up, rather than simply a place to store contacts. Its communications and AI options make usage and permissions part of the evaluation.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
Organize a customer or company as a Lead, attach Contacts, and track an active sale as an Opportunity. The Lead history puts calls, emails, status changes, completed tasks and notes in sequence so another rep can pick up the thread.
Capture an incoming lead with a built-in website form, then work from the centralized inbox and task list. Email, calling and SMS are available in the communications workspace; a completed Close call is logged back to the Lead with its time and duration.
Growth and Scale add Workflows that can start from a CRM event or manually. A workflow can send an email or SMS, update a Lead or assign a task. Test the trigger, recipient, timing and stop condition on sample records before using it for real outreach.
For call-heavy teams, Growth lists a power dialer. Scale adds a predictive dialer and live call coaching. Check these differences against how many people will actually use each capability.
Close also markets Chloe, an AI agent for qualifying prospects by phone, booking meetings and updating records. Treat it as a separate evaluation path: test its lead selection, conversation handling, resulting CRM updates and human oversight with a limited set of permitted contacts.

Pricing and getting started
The current public pricing display lists monthly per-user prices of $19 Solo, $49 Essentials, $109 Growth and $149 Scale. With annual billing selected it displays $9, $35, $99 and $139 per user per month respectively. Confirm the final currency, billing term and tax in the quote or checkout.
Solo is limited to one user and 10,000 leads. Essentials removes those lead and team limits and includes built-in forms and communication tools. Neither includes automated Workflows; Growth adds those plus a power dialer, while Scale adds stronger access controls, a predictive dialer and live coaching.
Seats are not the whole budget. Calling and SMS are charged by usage, and phone numbers have a rental cost. Call rates vary by destination and number type; SMS charges depend on usage and message units. US SMS also requires A2P 10DLC registration and can incur registration fees.
AI credits are a separate monthly pool that resets without rollover. The included allocation ranges from Solo’s 500 to Scale’s 2,000 credits per user, with plan-specific caps; further subscription credits can be purchased. Check which AI actions use credits and estimate an actual team workload before relying on the headline seat price.
Close advertises a 14-day free trial without a credit card and says trial calling and AI credits are included. Use that window to measure a realistic sales path and capture any usage charges or feature limits before subscribing.

Before you choose
Run a small lead-to-deal pilot: import or capture a harmless test lead, record a conversation, create an opportunity, assign a next task and ask another team member to reconstruct the history. This tests the daily handoff the product is designed to support.
If automated outreach matters, compare Essentials with Growth using one safe workflow and inspect when it triggers, whom it contacts and how it stops. Verify that the chosen plan includes the needed automation and dialer features.
Estimate seats, phone numbers, call minutes, SMS units and AI credits together. Confirm country coverage and US registration obligations for the numbers you intend to use, then request a written expected monthly cost.
Evaluate Chloe separately from manual calling. Use permitted test contacts, review the call and CRM updates, and decide who can enable or monitor AI outreach and additional credit spending.
