Who it is for
The platform suits organizations whose guidance spans teams, documents and existing systems, and whose readers need to know which source supports an answer. It is broader than a simple static wiki: the official platform combines knowledge authoring, governance, search and conversational AI.
A team should name content owners before rollout. Bloomfire offers expert Q&A and content flags, but people still have to review questions, accept useful responses and fix outdated or conflicting guidance.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
Draft, review and publish policies, procedures and best practices in the Knowledge Management App. Moderation and approval can put an editorial step between a draft and shared company guidance.
Connect existing source systems without moving every document into Bloomfire. The vendor says retrieval enforces source permissions, while separate access groups can restrict documents shared within Bloomfire.
Publish a question for subject-matter experts or administrators, then mark a reviewed answer as accepted for people who ask it later. This captures knowledge that may otherwise stay in a private conversation.
Search with a plain-language question. Bloomfire describes an answer above the results, grounded in approved organizational knowledge, with citations that a reader can open and follow-up questions when more context is needed.
Ask employees to flag inaccurate or outdated content. Administrators can review those notes and use duplicate, conflict and staleness signals to prioritize maintenance.
Manage document life cycles with scheduled publishing, archiving or unpublishing and approval tasks. A document can also appear across access groups while retaining a single updated version.
Use reports on content engagement, downloads and search activity to see how people use the library. The document-management guide also describes support for more than 25 file types and cloud storage synchronization.
Bloomfire identifies SharePoint and Google Drive among its integrations. Confirm the specific connectors, indexing scope and account permissions needed for your own source systems.

Pricing and getting started
The current official pricing page asks buyers to discuss a custom quote. It says the agreed scope receives a fixed price without consumption charges or per-user counts; it does not post a universal monthly rate.
Scope still matters: the Knowledge Management FAQ says the quote can depend on knowledge-object volume, AI actions, deployment reach and company size. Request a written explanation of included components, actions, integrations, onboarding, migration, support and renewal terms.
Bloomfire says hosting can vary by jurisdiction but that it does not currently host in the Middle East. Buyers with residency requirements should confirm the proposed location and contract before relying on a regional deployment.

Before you choose
Use fictional documents with both current and outdated guidance. Publish one expert question, accept an answer, flag old content and verify who receives the maintenance work. This tests the ongoing editorial process as well as search.
Search as a normal and restricted reader. Check that each answer cites an approved source and that restricted documents stay hidden. Bloomfire says Synapse can ask for clarification or decline to give a verified answer when evidence is insufficient; try that case before trusting it for important work.
Confirm whether the quote covers the Knowledge Management App, Synapse and the connectors or AI actions used in the evaluation. The public material describes a broad platform, so feature and volume scope should be explicit in the proposal.
