Avaza

What it does

Avaza connects project tasks with resource bookings, timesheets and invoicing for teams delivering client work. A project lead can plan the task, schedule a person, compare estimated and logged time, and pull billable work into an invoice. This account-based tool spans more than task tracking, so the fit depends on which members need scheduling, time and finance permissions.

Who it is for

Agencies, consultancies and other service teams that manage several client projects may benefit from keeping assignments, time and billing records in one account. A small team can start on Free, but its five active-project and role limits matter before using it as a full team system.

Project managers can work from task lists, a board, Gantt or calendar. Each task has one assigned owner; followers can remain in the conversation. Start and due dates are needed for the Gantt timeline, so test a real project schedule before depending on it.

Operations and finance staff can compare booked work with timesheets and then see project amounts and uninvoiced items. The one-project Summary report and multi-project Dashboard answer different questions, with role and cost-detail access to check.

Pricing and getting started

Free is a continuing plan with five active projects, one timesheet/expense user, one admin/finance user, one scheduling user, five monthly invoices or bills and 100 MB storage. Unlimited project collaborators does not mean unlimited access to every other module.

The current pricing page lists monthly Startup, Basic and Business base prices of $11.95, $23.95 and $47.95 USD per account. Annual billing displays lower monthly equivalents but charges a yearly amount. Project, finance, timesheet, scheduling and chat allowances vary by tier; additional role access and storage can increase the total. Use the vendor calculator and checkout for your actual team composition, billing period and tax.

Current pricing offers a no-card, fourteen-day trial of all features, followed by either paid service or the limited Free plan. It says data is kept if the trial ends; accounts exceeding Free limits must resolve overages. An older subscription help article says to request trial access from support, so verify the actual offer at signup.

For annual subscribers, the current pricing FAQ says a downgrade or move to monthly takes effect at the end of the paid billing year. Check that timing, extras and final tax amount before subscribing.

Look a little closer

Before you choose

Task dates, estimates and ownership are the foundation. A task can have one owner and several followers; estimates can be compared with logged hours. If two people share delivery responsibility, decide whether followers and separate time entries fit your workflow.

A scheduling booking can be made from a task, but the person booked needs a Scheduling User license. Task and booking assignee/date fields stay in sync only with one linked booking; with multiple linked bookings that sync stops. Reassignment to someone without scheduling access can delete the linked booking, so test that handoff before relying on the schedule.

Active projects offer board and Gantt layouts; archived projects use list view and no longer count against the active-project quota. Confirm how historical projects should be viewed and whether a project needs to stay active for team work.

Billable timesheets, expenses and fixed amounts can feed invoices. Cost and billable reports depend on configured rates, approval state and permission. Run a sample project with representative roles and rates before relying on margin figures.

The trial and paid totals need a signup or checkout check: the current pricing page offers an automatic fourteen-day trial and both annual and monthly terms, while an older help page says to ask support. The published prices are USD before tax, with separate role allowances and add-ons.

No account, task, booking, timesheet, invoice, payment, report, trial or checkout was exercised for this profile. The workflow and terms come from official public pages checked in October 2026.
