Find your fit
Who it is for
It fits HR teams and managers that need repeatable review cycles with employee, manager, peer and upward input. A company focused on surveying and acting on engagement can evaluate Engage; one focused on reviews and goals can evaluate Perform. Total Platform combines the two and adds selected manager tools.
Managers and review writers can use prior check-ins, objectives and recognition as context while drafting a review. That can reduce dependence on recent memory, but the usefulness of the panel depends on what the organization has recorded and each writer’s access.
The work it supports
Core capabilities
An administrator can set up a review cycle with a combination of self, manager, peer and upward reviews. The team can start from default questions or customize a template, then track progress from dashboards whose detail varies by role.
Review writers can open a Resources for Your Review panel to consult prior objectives, check-ins and other available context. After responses are in, the system can support ratings, calibration and a Talent Matrix, giving HR a way to compare results before decisions are made.
Perform also connects reviews with goals and OKRs. Teams can set objectives and track progress over time, giving a review conversation more context than a single end-of-cycle score.
Engage can run employee surveys and targeted assessments, including lifecycle surveys at onboarding or exit. Teams can compare survey results, examine trends and set action plans. Use the reporting view appropriate to each person’s assigned results access.
For ordinary engagement surveys, individual responses are associated with accounts inside the system but leaders see aggregate results only when the respondent threshold is met. The default is five; administrators can set three or four. Lifecycle surveys are different: they have no such threshold and can expose individual responses to authorized administrators or managers.
AI-Assisted Reviews can prepare draft open-ended answers using relevant 15Five history and connected work data. The human writer chooses the evidence, edits the wording, selects ratings and submits the review; the AI does not make that final decision.
Understand the offer
Pricing and getting started
The current pricing page displays Engage at $4 per user per month billed annually for surveys, assessments and action plans. Perform is displayed at $11 per user per month billed annually for performance reviews, feedback and goals. Current review Help confirms reviews require Perform or Total Platform.
Total Platform is displayed at $16 per user per month billed annually, combining Engage and Perform with the HR Dashboard and selected manager microlearnings. The vendor says its contracts are billed annually, so the monthly numbers are rate displays rather than month-to-month payment terms.
The page also presents manager/Kona products and compensation as add-on offerings. Some optional add-ons may have minimum requirements; ask for a written package, seat count and annual total before assuming these modules are included. Help names some legacy Perform survey entitlements, which should not be applied to a new Perform purchase without confirmation.
Look a little closer
Before you choose
For a trial demonstration, use fictional employee data to walk through a review cycle, a manager’s resource panel, an engagement campaign and the reporting access each role receives. Confirm that goal, AI and add-on tools in the proposed plan match the actual use case.
Before sending a real engagement survey, explain that responses are confidential rather than anonymous and check the reporting threshold. Lowering it to three or four may make a small group easier to identify. Treat lifecycle survey visibility separately from the ordinary engagement-survey rules.
Ask for the full annual commitment, any add-on minimums and the entitlement to reviews versus surveys in writing. Let the human reviewer approve ratings and submitted wording when AI drafting is used.
